In fact many days there is no path at all. It's been a few weeks since I've on on Linked In. I've been traveling with Elizabeth Jeffries, CSP, CPAE, and our two middle grandsons, Vincent and Lucas in Rome and Florence, Italy. It was amazing watching these two boys experience the wonder of these ancient cities. It was also fascinating watching how quickly they mastered using GPS on their phones to navigate. We decided where we wanted to go, how we would get there, and when we expected to arrive and return. We let them lead the way, and really enjoyed following them to our destinations. How are you at using GPS to find your way? As leaders in Home Care businesses, we need to use GPS regularly to navigate the complex world of caring for older adults. GPS - Goal, Plan, Schedule. Do you have goals for growing your business? A plan to get there? A schedule on when you will arrive? In our Home Care CEO Executive Strategy Retreat, we start even bigger, with a five-year vision, a three-year picture, and one year goals. Then we work with leaders to develop an action plan, a time table, and metrics to measure progress. How are you using GPS to take your Home Care business into the future?

I'm thrilled to announce that Surge is officially 10 years old! 🥳✨ It’s surreal to think that my journey started in my home office with nothing more than a phone, a PC and a vision. 10 years on, we have a talented team of 19 people offering a range of creative digital solutions for clients all over the world! To celebrate, I threw a festival-themed party (SurgeFest) at the office as a way of saying thank you to the team. A cocktail bar, DJ, LED dance floor and festival themed office and dress code. I don’t mind saying that a lot of alcohol was consumed and everyone had a great night. The last ten years have been an absolute rollercoaster. There have been a lot of obstacles and challenges along the way and at times I have had full-on imposter syndrome. I have felt like giving up on more than one occasion. But when I look back at what we have achieved over the last decade, I am really proud of where we are today. With the arrival of my baby girl in October last year, I knew that things would need to change if I wanted to spend more time with her. So when we knew we were expecting, I took part in the scale-up course organised by The Entrepreneurs' Forum and delivered by Ian Kinnery - The Scale-Up Coach. It’s one of the best things I have done! You can never stop learning. The main topics were… People  Strategy Execution Cash Flow This resulted in big changes in the business. New core values, processes and a new level of accountability to ensure that our clients have the best experience when working with us. We lost some people along the way but not everyone is meant to be on the journey. You can’t plan and execute a strategy if you don’t have the right people in the business. I'm pleased to say that we now have the strongest team we have ever had, better processes in place and a lot of happy clients! So thank you to everyone who has really dug in over the last 18 months and contributed to making Surge a success. I have never been more focused on driving this business forward. We know who we are, where we want to be, and how to get there! I am truly excited to see what the next 10 years brings! #SurgeAnniversary #10YearsStrong #Milestone #Gratitude
