If you’re consistent and good then you can progress to your next role in 18 months. You’ll earn more in this next role. And if you’re good then you can earn a lot more. What would I do if I were hiring my first salesperson for a startup? (Someone asked me) My answer: 1. 😍 Look for Passion: Find someone who's genuinely excited about your product. They should understand it before joining the company and should share your vision! 2. 💪 Relevant Experience Matters: Hiring someone who has experience in the same stage as your company and understands B2B sales, not just any kind of sales. 3. 🎌 Culture Fit: It's essential that they fit into your team like a puzzle piece. We spend so much of our lives at work- it's important that we enjoy the people we work with! **Important** You dont have to be best friends, just respect and enjoy working together. 4. ❓ Ask the Right Questions: During the interview process, focus less on their resume and more on their approach to sales and problem-solving. 5. 📈 Growth Mindset: Finally, pick someone who is eager to learn and grow with your company.
