✈️🛫🛬I love flying with my TEAM! Today we had a lunch meeting to discuss our "DESTINATION". Our Executive Chef and Director of Food & Dining, John Halepis treated the Team to an amazing dining experience. My contribution was just some cool “Aviators”, a “Toy Airplane", and a discussion on our Flight Plans.
It went something like this:
✈️As an airplane pilot begins a flight, a detailed flight plan is prepared to guide him to his destination. The plan includes maps, that show the perfect route. These maps take into consideration, the weather, the altitude, the wind, and emergencies, to calculate fuel consumption and the needs of the flight.
While following this plan, there will be times the pilot may get off course. They may encounter unexpected air traffic, weather patterns, or unexpected winds that require the pilot to deviate from the plan, but never lose sight of the final destination.
Just like the pilot, we often face obstacles that steer us off course. The journey may take a little longer and we may face challenges, we never anticipated. This is Senior Living after all, and every day is a new adventure!
At Fellowship Square, every Team Member has a Flight Plan that is specific for their position. We are all taking different paths and course correcting in different ways. We empower our “pilots” with the map for their journey. We also TRUST and understand that they will meander back and forth over the course as they adjust to the daily challenges of their role.
Regardless, we all have the SAME destination. We are all challenged to create a culture where people thrive; a culture that embraces Strength and Independence; a culture that exudes Christian Love and Excellence. Our goal is to recognize and honor the immeasurable value of every person. People are the lifeblood of our business. We must provide authentic service, with humility, integrity, compassion, and respect.
If we can safely land on this tarmac of culture… then we have safely and successfully arrived! ✈️🛫🛬
