The #WealthAdvisory industry is undergoing significant transformation and evolution. The advent of #fintechs, specifically #roboadvisors, over a decade ago brought about notable changes such as making financial investment accessible to clients with lower assets at significantly reduced costs. Traditional banking did not lag behind in this race. In recent years, we have seen how most robo-advisors have been acquired by large international banks. However, this trend took an unexpected turn this week with the sale of Marcus Invest by Goldman Sachs to Betterment (45 billion USD in assets under management). Is this a new turning point in the industry? This question opens up an interesting debate about the future of private banking and wealth management.
