Skanska Costain STRABAG Joint Venture helps deliver skills bootcamp 🎓 🤝SCS has joined forces with HS2 (High Speed Two) Ltd, our supply chain partner Flannery Plant Hire, Camden Council and The Euston Partnership to deliver a project that is upskilling local residents. The new training course, which is running at our Euston Approaches site, aims to get Camden residents ready for careers in construction in just two weeks, with around 30 local people expected to benefit. The course is: 💡 Designed to get people ‘job ready’ in a fortnight by providing the full training and accreditation needed to start work as a plant machinery operator. 💡 Free to Camden residents aged 19 and above and 💡 Going to support those who are either currently out of work or want a career change to gain new skills to secure an opportunity in the construction industry. This is class! Getting people trained up so they can access well paid jobs is the best type of ‘social value’ we can deliver in our sector. Well done 👏

I think this is a good idea but it is not possible to train someone as a plant machinery operator in two weeks I certainly would not work near a20 tonne excavator if the driver only had 2 weeks training !!!!! a dumper/roller maybe I’m genuinely trying to be positive this statement is misleading Good Luck Stay Safe 👍👌👊
