Conducting effective background check adjudication not only mitigates risks from new hires, it also helps maintain confidentiality of your organisations position on specific background check results – i.e. what you do and don’t accept. It's common though to find companies operating with out of date and ineffective adjudication guidelines, or no guidelines for employees to refer to when reviewing background check results. The employee ends up taking personal decisions on what to accept or not, and tick off results that seem ok to them and file the final report away.
