"It’s the girls who invite the rape" Really? Let’s dissect this twisted logic: 🛑 Girls Revealing clothes attract men. (Because a child never been raped, right?) - "and this time she was in doctors attire" 🛑 Girls wear short clothes to attract men. (Because women in sarees or suits have never been raped, right?) - "This time she was in scrubs/doctors attire" 🛑 They perform certain gestures to grab attention. (Because being shy or introverted have never been raped, right?) - "This time she was resting after her long hour shift" 🛑 They stay out late at night, practically inviting danger. (Because rapes only happen under the cover of darkness, right? Daylight always ensures safety, right?) - "This time she was on-duty " 🛑 They study and work in big companies to meet and ‘use’ men. (Because housewives and children are never victims of rape, right?) - "This time HOSPITAL" 🛑 They go to parties and drink to make men fall for them. (Because a girl who prays daily is never assaulted, right?) - "This time she was treating patients" because.... "MEN WILL BE MEN" The harsh truth is : 🛑 We’ve failed. 🛑 We’ve failed as a society, for allowing such toxic beliefs to fester. 🛑 We’ve failed as a judiciary, for not delivering justice swiftly and fairly. 🛑 We’ve failed as humans, for not protecting the most vulnerable among us. The reality is simple: It was never about what girls do. It has always been about what boys are taught. It’s time to shift the narrative, to teach our sons, friends, boyfriends, husbands, and fathers that: "A girl’s clothing, work, or lifestyle doesn’t give anyone the right to harm her ever." #StampedeDeaths  In an unfortunate incident on 2nd July, 120 people died in a stampede incident at Hathras within State of Uttar Pradesh, India. While Government has extended all possible support to victims & injured, sudden inrush of high number of injured & died on nearby hospitals, there had been shortage of services. SDRF and NDRF did best possible evacuation and compensation are announced by State and central Govts. Condolences from presidents / prime ministers of many countries were received by Hon’ble President and Prime Minister of India. State’s Chief Minister has ordered Judicial inquiry in incident.  There have been more than 1000 died in #stampede in last 15-16 years in India itself, no knowledge for foreign nations. What Government can do, it will do. But we need to remember that there have been several incidents of Political rallies and festivals and religious congregation, where any whisper can lead to stampede resulting into any number of causalities. We in India could have 100s of such incidents every year, if it is not happening, it's because God is saving people. Only reason, we don’t focus on imparting “#CrowdDiscipline” and lack of facilities for damage control.  #Technological_Solutions_by_Startups: a.     Engage trained “#Event_Manager” even for a gathering of 50-100 people. When thousands are there, there must be trained units of “Event Manager” equipped with “own” CCTV/ Drone based Camera including thermo-vision capability & smoke detector, Public Address System, Announcement on Crowd Discipline just like it happens in every flight take off. Generally, fixed items get failed. b.     #Van_mounted_Control_room to monitor everything happening in program.  c.     Display of Contact numbers officers of nearby Police Station, Hospital and fire station, also with event manager. d.     Depending on crowd, availability of marshals, with chest mounted camera & PA system, in designated uniform, which also need to be announced to all present people, by organisers.
