How long is too long to be doing the same job? There probably isn't a limit if the job excites and motivates you to keep going. People, whether they are customers or colleagues, are a vital part of how we approach our task. I have in recent times noticed that the owners/managers of the machinery I maintain have moved on to the next generation. Sons and daughters who were kids at school but helping out on site or operating machines are now the owners and managers. They know me, I know them. That can sometimes be the level ground between indifference and understanding. At the same time, it is a reminder of how long I have been doing this, although the aches remind me every morning. My question could be, how long is too long with one employer, with one product line, with one manufacturer. I have been lucky as far as employers go. To this day, I have had and hold good relationships with them. As for my product of choice. That is the Merlo telehandler range. my journey began way back in 2000, my first introduction course. Because of the world imploding, I had a brief time away from Merlo before starting to work with McHales Plant Sales. I have seen several model changes, massive technology upgrades, and different faces. different places, usually the same questions. I have developed with the product for the better of my customers, my employer, and Merlo. So, as long it doesn't rain too much and the air stays fresh, the people remain friendly, and the frustrations are overcome by solutions. I am ready for it, bring it on. #mchaleplantsales. #merlo #greenmachine #merloireland
