Join us on Saturday, July 27, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to meet the amazing women who are making game-changing advancements in science and nature in a very special Genius in the House! 🧠 ✨ How awesome are they? So awesome that the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) named them IF/THEN Ambassadors and created a life-sized 3D printed statue of each one to inspire the next generation of scientists. These 15 women are from all over the United States would love to share stories with you. Be sure to stop by the Theater Lobby for hands-on demonstrations and fun conversations. https://bit.ly/4aY9eF5

In this talk, I'll delve into the details of our #CVPR2024 paper on Generative masked modelling of 3D human motions. Our proposed method, uses hierarchical quantization to tokenize human motion and subsequently train a masked generative transformer. It allows generating realistic human motion sequences from natural language descriptions, which is a crucial advancement in creating lifelike digital humans in virtual environments and animations. Whether you're involved in generative AI, game development, virtual reality, or animation, this talk will provide valuable insights into the future of human motion synthesis. Join in to learn and discuss about the latest innovations in pushing the boundaries of digital human modeling! 🚶♂️🏃🏼♀️🤸🏽♀️
On May 29th, our community-led Geo Regional Asia Group will be hosting guest speaker Muhammad Gohar Javed, Master's Student, for a presentation on "MoMask: Generative Masked Modeling of 3D Human Motions." Thank you to Ahmad Anis for organizing this event 😎 Learn more: https://lnkd.in/dVbrZWzJ

**Unlock the Power of Resourcefulness: Navigating Scarcity Together** In today's fast-paced world, scarcity is a reality we often face - be it in talent, resources, or time. But what if we told you that scarcity isn't a dead-end but a starting point for innovation? https://lnkd.in/dHjbNcZS Join us at Production Solutions Day 2024, a unique gathering designed to turn challenges into opportunities. We're bringing together thinkers, doers, and innovators to explore how we can do more with less. 🔍 What's on the Agenda? Our program offers thought-provoking presentations, stimulating discussions and demonstrations from our partners. This isn't just another conference. It's a chance to rethink the way we approach limitations. At Production Solutions Day 2024, we'll see how scarcity can be the mother of invention, driving us towards more creative, efficient, and resilient ways of working. Registration is open, so secure your place among fellow forward-thinkers and let's turn scarcity into our playground for innovation. Let's not just survive in a world of scarcity — let's thrive through resourcefulness. See you there! #Innovation #EngineeringSolutions #Engineering

Chief Metrology Officer, METAS & Past-President of the International Commission on Illumination (CIE)
It was an exciting process to develop this paper in a group of experts. One of the most important messages: Be aware that photobiological and photochemical processes can be expressed in two different quantity systems: a photon system (photon flux, etc.) and a radiometric system (radiant flux, etc.). Always specify which system you are using.
Watts or photons? 💡 Delighted to have been part of this effort led by Christophe Martinsons now published in LR&T (SLL - Society of Light and Lighting) with many co-authors including Peter Blattner, Michael Herf, Claude Gronfier, Sophie Jost, Maria Nilsson Tengelin, Luc Schlangen and Jamie Zeitzer: https://lnkd.in/gwtpAHHr
