🚗 Setting new standards in autonomous vehicle testing, Plextek played a vital role in Cranfield University's groundbreaking £12 million HumanDrive project, aimed at achieving autonomous, end-to-end vehicle journeys. We provided twelve electronic-scanning radars for their advanced vehicle control system. These radars, in conjunction with AI and ML, enabled vehicles to navigate challenging situations like crowded sidewalks and poor visibility caused by harsh weather conditions. 🌧️ 🔬 Leveraging the data collected by our radar system, we were able to validate the decision-making capabilities of the autonomous vehicle. Paving the way for an impressive 200-mile journey, accomplished entirely without a driver. It signifies a significant breakthrough in the deployment of autonomous vehicles, marking a major milestone for the industry.
