Fleetway is proud of its employees and their generosity for once again stepping up to support the Salvation Army's annual toy drive. 2024 was another difficult year for many, which makes helping those less fortunate more important than ever. This year, our team donated over 260 toys, books, and games to help ensure local children receive a gift they may have otherwise gone without. Thank you to everyone who donated to help make Christmas more magical and brighter.

When I joined Grace & Green in 2022 as Head of Growth, my very first presentation to the Board was about how we took what had been created in Period Dignity and use this to have a much wider impact on both the business and the world of work. How would we make Period Dignity the market leader (with very little money to spend to do so)? I don't have enough space in this post to work through exactly what I set out in that meeting, however it boiled down to: ✌ Understanding the impact we want to have: It's always been about more than supplying products - Education is woven into the threads of Period Dignity. To achieve period dignity we need access to information, availability of products and acceptance within workplace culture - we designed our offering and continue to develop everything we do around these pillars. This was summed up perfectly by a client (John) who said "Grace & Green don't just supply a product, they create a CULTURE". Exactly John. ✌ Remember who we are and why we are doing it: Unsurprisingly, the workplace space has and is becoming more competitive. This is excellent news, as more businesses embrace free period care as a basic right, and especially comforting how many are choosing a more sustainable providers. As now Chief Commercial Officer, it's also mildly stressful (mildly 🙃 ). However, dignity continues to be about more than avoiding getting caught short, it's about embracing inclusivity and supporting our Members to deliver dignity for all, no matter of age, gender identity, or how they experience their period. There's still a long way to go, and we've got SO much more coming here... ✌ Treat every customer like they are absolutely making our day. This is perhaps a small business mindset, or when many of the team have done almost every job in the company. We all remember the THRILL of winning our first big contract, the DELIGHT of walking into a shop and seeing our products on shelf, or randomly walking into the bathroom BEAMING seeing our products. We don't take for granted the fact we get to be in people's everyday. (For me this has never worn off, my heart still skips a little when I process an order, receive a tender award notice, or see a customer talking about us on socials.) Particularly grateful for our team for supporting our phenomenal YOY 120% growth, for challenging, pushing our vision and positioning, and for being excellent. I'm incredibly proud of what we and our members are doing to drive inclusivity, awareness and dignity within their workplaces and educational establishments. I can't wait to see what the next two years can hold. Happy Birthday Period Dignity. x

The Samaritan Car Care Clinic's mission is to address transportation barriers. Access to affordable and reliable transportation is one of the biggest barriers to financial independence that low-income families face in the Greater Cincinnati region. The Samaritan Car Care Clinic supports economic mobility in two direct ways: 1) helping low-income families stay on the path to self-sufficiency with shared cost car repairs; and 2) offering low-income community college students the opportunity to participate in an auto technology co-op program that provides tools for them to use. They will use this grant from The Bell Charitable Foundation to help as many families as possible with direct repairs.

Sock Rocket was born 8 years ago out of a combination of boredom with my then-freelance-based web development business, and a desire to marry subscriptions and social enterprise to see what was possible. Turns out A LOT was possible. In our first year of business (2016), Sock Rocket donated 280 pairs of socks to 1 organization (shoutout to Hull Services) and handed out 100 or so more in person on the streets of downtown Calgary. I ran the business entirely in 3-4 days of work each month as I focussed on my web development company and my golf game. A humble beginning and very much a hobby project. 7 years later this is my full time job + some, we employ several people, and we sling custom merch to some of the biggest companies in Canada. So far this year we’ve donated 128,000 pairs of socks to 70ish organizations, and it’s very likely we’ll hit 200,000 pairs donated this year alone by the time Christmas rolls through. Thank you all for your love and support. Thanks for believing in Sock Rocket, but mostly thanks for believing in social enterprise. Spoiler alert - it’s not really about socks, y’all. Socks are a vehicle to tell a bigger story - It’s about the power of social enterprise. Sock Rocket is a very simple application of a social enterprise, and I’m just here to prove that if we can do it, that means YOU CAN DO IT BETTER! There is so much potential good to be done out there, and I really believe that businesses hold a ton of power to be able to enact change. Thanks again for believing in me, humans. It means a ton. I hope we’ve made you proud so far - there’s plenty more where this came from! 500,000 down. On to the next 500,000!
🚀 We’ve done it – 500,000 pairs of socks donated! 🎉 We’re excited to share that we’ve reached an incredible milestone at Sock Rocket - we’ve donated HALF A MILLION pairs of socks to those in need! 🙌 At Sock Rocket, we're proving that you can run a small business that’s profitable AND socially responsible. Your support fuels our sock mission to reach 1 MILLION pairs donated! With every Sock Rocket purchase, you not only get original-designed, high-quality socks, but for every pair sold THREE pairs are donated. 🧦 Thank you for being part of this journey and helping us support those who need it most. Check out our website to learn more about the amazing organizations we’ve partnered with and how every pair makes a difference! https://lnkd.in/eM2kEdK8

IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BELOW... As we approach the end of the year, our non-profit TMF wanted to share some news with you. A few weeks ago, we launched a new website called www.tmf-warrior.com. What is TMF Warrior about? Here's a snippet below: "TMF-Warrior is a non-profit, worldwide men’s movement of military-style course coaching and fraternal gatherings that teach men the special code of 'Living Life on The Right Frequency™', through the power of personal transformation. TMF serves cities and nations to support men and the people affected by them from every walk of life. We help veterans, prisoners, single mothers and children, faith groups, and much more. At TMF, we've learned that it takes a brotherhood of men standing shoulder-to-shoulder and holding each other accountable until we come out on the other side as Warriors." As we approach the end of 2024, would you consider a small gift to help us reach our goal of funding the buildout of an iOS/Android App known as BASE CAMP that will be the centerpiece of the TMF warrior lifestyle? Men will be able to download the app and interact with other men through connections, complete courses to earn rank, build up reward points, and attend important event rallies. Best of all, these activities can all be done from the community app. Any amount given - even $10 - will be a true blessing to the help of our movement, and you will also receive a tax credit receipt right after you place your donation. Simply go to the link below to complete: https://lnkd.in/e7fb5s8y We believe in helping men become better husbands, fathers, servants, and leaders. Now, it’s your chance to help us help them! Thank you! The TMF Senior Leadership.

Gamedevmap.com is one of the best resources for finding work in the game industry. I have gotten multiple jobs that I found using gamedevmap. You can often find hidden gems, including studios you may not know of, and job listings that aren't well publicized. Pick locations where you'd like to work (or work from remote). Then go through the list of studio websites at that location and look for a "jobs" or "careers" page. If you don't see one, try checking the footer, sitemap, or contact page of the website.
Happy New Year! The final gamedevmap.com data drop of 2024 is live with over 170 new entries and over 8900 entries in total! Wishing you all a peaceful and prosperous 2025. A special thank you to everyone who made a donation to gamedevmap in 2024. 💚
