A new report from CRBE "describes U.S. life sciences job growth as “sluggish” and blames interest rates—which began rising in 2022—as a culprit, while noting that unemployment in the sector is below 2%, compared to roughly 4% for all professions." #lifesciences | #clinicaldevelopment | #biotech | #pharma

As mentors to the younger generation, we often find ourselves pondering significant questions, such as what advice we would offer if our own children or students approached us with inquiries about their future paths. As I reflect on this, particularly in the context of the burgeoning field of biotechnology, I can't help but feel an electric sense of excitement and possibility. If asked whether one should choose biotech, what would you say? .... I would respond with resounding enthusiasm. Biotechnology isn't just a career path; it has its ups and downs, risks and thrills, and yet overall I not not be anywhere else. It's a dynamic realm of innovation, discovery, and boundless potential. It's where science meets entrepreneurship, where groundbreaking research meets real-world impact. Career Mentor - Biotech/Lifesciences | Help transition PhDs from academia to industry | Biotechnologist | General Manager, Certifications
Why Diagnostic/Healthcare sector is a viable career option for biotech/lifescience graduates? There are 2500+ NABL accredited laboratories in India and 43486 hospitals of which 60% involve R&D. Laboratories are in need of 1️⃣ Molecular Biologist 2️⃣ Biochemist 3️⃣ Microbiologist 4️⃣ Lab manager 5️⃣ Sales & Marketing executive Lifescience grads are apt for all the above positions. However, this sector is mostly overseen or ignored. I have seen freshers being recruited for such positions by laboratories. Laboratories involve in diagnosis, screening, monitoring, prognosis and more and often require multiple positions. Hospitals apart from doctors, nurses & support staff, require researchers (M.Sc & PhD) who can help them in research with their technical know-how. Moreover, they have limited time for research. Many of my friends have carried out their PhD research in Apollo Hospitals, Shankara Cancer Hospitals and more. So friends, check out the labs & hospitals as well as a career option. 📌 Stay tuned on my next post on Patenting, IPR as a career for Biotech/LS grads P.S Comment if you have worked or are working in diagnostic/healthcare being a lifescience graduate. Feel free to share your experience.

A #wet #lab #research refers to scientific experiments or research activities that involve working directly with chemicals, biological materials, or other substances in a laboratory setting. The term "wet lab" contrasts with "dry lab," which involves computational or theoretical research without direct handling of physical materials. In a wet lab, researchers often conduct experiments that require using equipment such as test tubes, beakers, pipettes, centrifuges, and various analytical instruments. They may work with living organisms, cell cultures, DNA, proteins, chemicals, and other substances to investigate biological processes, conduct experiments, analyze data, and draw conclusions. Examples of wet lab research include studies in molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, pharmacology, microbiology, and many other fields where direct manipulation and experimentation with physical substances are essential to advancing scientific knowledge. #mbbs #bds #pharmd #dvm #physiotherapist #mbbsstudent #pharmacystudent #pharmacyeducation #pharmacylife #medicalschool #pharmacyschool #medical #research #medicalresearch #medicalresearchpapers #researchanddevelopment #researchpaper #researchers #researchexcellence #researchstudy #researchopportunity #researchpublication #clinicalcase #systematicreview #studyabroad #studyoverseas #studyinuk #studyincanada #studyineurope #studyinaustralia #studyoverseas #journals #journalpublication #clinicalresearch #clinicaleducation #education #educationalleadership #educationaljourney #educationaltechnology #educationforall #educationforsuccess #educationforchange #educationexcellence #medicalwriting #authorscommunity #bookclub #bookpublishing #bookclub #bookmarketing #linkedin #linkedinopportunitoes #linkedingrowth #linkedinengagement #innvoation #management #digitalmarketing #technology #creativity #entreprenuerships #careers #markets #startups #venturecapital #socialnetworking #leanstartups #motivation #sustainability #healthcare #researchinhealthcare #smallbusiness #openings #partnerships #research #success #business #2024success #success #successmindset #linkedinforcreators #linkedingrowth #linkedinlearning #linkedincreators #linkedincreators #linkedincommunity #linkedinleads #linkedinbranding #linkedinexpert #linkedinfollowers #creativity #personaldevelopment #motivationalquotes #inspiration #selfhelp #leadership #careersuccess #socialmedia #socialnetworking #socialemotionallearning #networkingopportunity #networkingworks #wetlab #wetlabresearch #safetymeasures #labprotocols #labsafety #instrumentsafety #researchers #labsops #sops #researchsafety leadership #careersuccess #socialmedia #socialnetworking #socialemotionallearning #networkingopportunity #networkingworks #community
