The outside opinion that an MSP brings is most valuable. Not just because they are deemed as expert at contingent labor management, but hopefully because it is leveraged against experience gained multiple times across multiple sectors and multiple deployed strategies.

How important is a VMS? = How important is process, structure, data capture and goal measurement?

Internal vs external is all about internal talent and desire to fund the personnel vs embedding the management fees into the project labor cost. Makes an even stronger argument if the fees can be capitalized.

Transition example: Payroll only (200 workers) to full MSP (2,200 workers). Data transition was....not good. Late nights. Be sure you know who is responsible for data stewardship and ensure a process is laid out.
