📢Publication Alert📢 The article, "Manufacturing studies of a polymeric/composite heart valve prosthesis" by Mary Jialu Chen, Georgios Pappas, Caroline Smid, Cesarovic Nikola, Volkmar Falk, Paolo Ermanni is now available at Polymer Composites. In this article, a manufacturing processes for PEEK-based heart valve implants was developed, demonstrating a proof of concept for thermoforming of semi-crystalline PEEK leaflets. The effect of processing temperature on valve mechanical properties was also studied.
