As the conference season winds down, our CCO, Mark Braby, shares his reflections on the key topics and concerns dominating discussions around EVs. After engaging with customers, partners, and investors, Mark identified some of the key trends shaping the future of clean transportation: 🚗 Despite some market challenges, the transition to EVs is inevitable. Superior technology, cost reductions, and regulatory support will drive the EV adoption "hockey stick" in the coming years. 🤝 Recent EVSE hardware shakeouts underscore the need for interoperability and hardware-agnostic software. 🔋Choosing the right charging management software is crucial for EV fleet success. Take an in-detail look at these and other trends highlighted by Mark in our blog, and stay tuned for more updates. Follow us on this transformative journey!

⚡️Data Storyteller // 💡 Top LinkedIn Voice // Turning data into compelling stories for energy and mobility businesses
Great session on charging standardisation and interoperability with Maebh Reynolds, Matt Davies, and Amar Abid-Ali at MOVE: Mobility Re-imagined today. One really interesting thing to come from it was the discussion of the digital experience for consumers and how that’s such an important thing when it comes to EV charging. But we can’t forget the role hardware plays in enabling that. With standardisation across the whole charging value chain, it can only improve the wider experience for all. #movemobility #move2024 #evcharging #electricvehicles

Great way to start the year, running 🏃 around the USA 🇺🇸 with John Walsh, Michael E. Hennessy and Michelle Downing. Lots of key themes coming from the trip. Top 3: 1. Charging-as-a-Service is here and will be one of, if not the, key way for Fleets to pay for their charging infrastructure. 2. School Bus 🚌 electrification in 2024 is significant. Over 2k new electric school buses will be funded thanks to the EPA Round 2. 3. Customers don’t know that Software drives Uptime. And that >99% is achievable today with the right partner. Also, I learnt is that it is illegal to sell EV’s directly to consumers in the state of Louisiana! So if you want to buy a Tesla or Rivian for example, you will need to go and pick it up from your neighbouring states. The vehicle dealers are clinging on by leveraging politics to maintain their position! Despite all the negative press about EV’s, you can’t stop consumers and businesses choosing better product. So buckle up, it’s happening if you like it or not 👻

Looking forward to this panel at SXSW that will kick off a lot of interesting dialogue this week around EV adoption, a national charging network, battery technologies and critical minerals, data opportunities and challenges, and other issues. It will also help set the stage for a broader discussion of the concept of virtual power plants. In my opinion, VPPs hold the potential to transform (and disrupt) how the power grid operates — potentially analogous to how TCP/IP, modems, the World Wide Web, and other innovations disrupted a centrally managed, analog public switched telephone network and gifted us the Internet we know today.

Keeping things simple is how we can effectively educate the public about energy. Even more important is how we use intelligent software to translate energy technology into simple experiences that meet people where they are based on their lifestyle and preferences. This is at the heart of Chargeway’s strategy and design, and it has been a pleasure sharing this knowledge at the CHARGE - Powering Energy Brands conferences throughout the world in recent months. 😊 #chargeway #electricvehicles #electriccars #electricfuel #evcharging #charginginfrastructure #chargingstations #energy #branding #communications #marketing #keepitsimple
