I love CES season. Although I'm not attending, seeing and hearing about all the new tech is awesome. It also is a popular time for TI to announce/release some of our most exciting new devices! One such device is the DRV3946-Q1 - our new integrated, dual-channel solenoid driving solution for contactor relays and similar loads. It has a lot of the integrated protection features you'd expect for a safety-critical automotive component, but my favorite feature is the configurable peak and hold current levels and timings. Once programmed, all you have to do to drive your solenoid is toggle the device and the DRV3946-Q1 will run the closed loop control automatically.
