Private jet flight attendants earn significantly more than commercial crew, with salaries ranging from $2,500 to $7,000 per month in 2024. Freelancers can make $500 to $800 daily, depending on experience, with additional perks like per diems between $75 and $150 per night. Can we talk about multi skilled crew? Lots of talk about bringing in pre skilled individuals as crew. Those with their STCW and an ability to fly a drone or PT, water sports instructors or floristry, the list is endless. Whilst this is most certainly to be applauded and will lead to greater abilities of crew and sharing of expertise, the current management of crew with extra skills is not at all conducive to their taking up employment or indeed staying within the industry. Currently on most yachts these individuals are seen as a bonus but are not being offered a salary which shows renumeration for their added ability, which is going to put those who can do, off. Secondly they are required for their department but also then time for their secondary skills. What is tending to happen, which is one of the greatest problems in the industry, is that hours of work suddenly become hours outside of the permitted work times. And often times can lead to being short handed in the department they are employed for. If you are bringing in multi skilled crew you must consider their real worth and how they will be used and if it will dent the department or help them. So although this is a great step forward we must consider that this new paradigm requires considerations and greater understanding of the actuality for crew.

The outlook job or career with flight schooling is usually commercial aviation. Commercial aviation is either with the airlines, cargo-lines, or any other job requiring piloting for compensation. Right now in the US, and the rest of the world, there is a huge pilot shortage. This means that salaries have increased and companies are eager for new pilots. The average salary for a commercial pilot currently is about $150,000-$200,000/year. The job is awesome, however is requires some sacrifice and dedication. A lot of pilots are away from family for an extended amount of time and their shifts can be any time on the 24 hour clock. But there are many perks such as free travel and getting to see the world, high pay that increases with seniority, free hotels and meals, and only having to work 14 days a month on average. The top three highest paying countries for pilots is 1:Switzerland, 2:Luxemburg, 3:USA, according to https://lnkd.in/dr6BmgFk

Business Aviation has its own set of rules distinct from commercial aviation, despite both involving flying an aircraft from one point to another. A significant and contentious aspect of the corporate industry is the role of Flight attendants, compared to cabin crew members. The topic is vast and complex, with numerous nuances across different countries. The focus of this video is to elucidate the general variances between the two roles. In essence, Cabin Crew members hold a cabin crew license or attestation, while flight attendants aboard private jets are hosts who do not require such credentials to perform their duties. Although including less authority and responsibility than a Cabin Crew, the role of a VIP flight attendant has its unique set of challenges and rewards, tailored to the specific demands of private aviation. Still with safety as top priority, the VIP flight attendant role places a significant emphasis on high-end customer service, gourmet meal preparation, and the ability to cater to the specific preferences of high-profile clients. They might also be responsible for the presentation and cleanliness of the aircraft, ensuring that every detail meets the elevated standards expected in the realm of private aviation. #privatejetcoach #flightattendant #cabincrew #privatejet #businessaviation https://lnkd.in/dqHAeue9

Being an experienced pilot on a freelance job of ferrying airplanes, temporarily for the airplane owners, you’ve received an offer for ferrying a newly purhased second hand long haul bizjet which you’re rated on, maintains its airworthiness, and has a good maintenance and accident-free background. Besides, it is capable of max range of 7500 NM. The owner wants the airplane to be flown to Melbourne in the shortest range possible. She is a businesswoman from California/US presently busy in his Melbourne office to handle some problems. She’s thinking to register the airplane to N registration sometime although planning to use the airplane for her worldwide relations. However, the airplane is D registered, and EASA certification for long-haul private jets is restricted with 120 minutes. The money offered for the shortest ferry ride is attractive, but the expenses are limited. The longer you fly, the lower your gain..You start thinking, there must be a solution to this dilemma?

-EASA subjects business jets to 120’ ETOPS for CAT operations although its pretty difficult for the majority of the bizjet operators to fully comply. -EASA-NON-COMMERCIAL AIR OPERATIONS WITH COMPLEX MOTOR-POWERED AIRCRAFT: The PIC shall ensure that (in the event of an engine becoming inoperative at any point along the route), a multi-engined aeroplane shall be able to continue the flight to an adequate aerodrome without flying below the minimum obstacle clearance altitude at any point. There are no ETOPS requisitions. -GCD between FACT-YMML is 5576 NM and passes slightly north of 60S latitude. Meaning that track is not in the South Polar Area. -No passengers onboard. -Non-Commercial operator. -Emergency enroute alternate YWKS is a Summer-Only facility. Regular passenger flights since 2007. The facility operates between October and March each year. It closes for six weeks at the peaks of summer. * Strip Dimensions: 3,500 m × 100–150 m * Runway Dimensions: 3,200 m x 30 m * Visual aids: single sided PAPI and end lighting threshold, lead in and distance to run markers. * Center line slope: 1.58% down to the west * Ice thickness: approx 500 m * Mean temperature: −14°C 10499 feetx148 feet strip at AFE 2547’, mostly flown with Airbus 319s. Commercial passenger flights are flown since 2007 seasonally. The Australian C-17As flies into “seasonally”. Although a remote possibility; we still have to manage the foreseeable risks of WCSs (Worst Case Scenario). Nevertheless, there is no ETOPS restrictions for our ferry flight cause the owner is a non-commercial aircraft operator. We can start communicating with reliable business aircraft professional service providers which have reliable dispatching services, to have the optimally safe and economical flight plan options. But before relying blindly on other expertise, we’ve got manage all possible risks regarding a worst case scenario to find out a viable and optimal course of action. The good news is, in this case, we’ll be flying ferry! “No passengers” evokes; no baggages, no expected cabin/cargo originated surprises. What might be our possible courses of action then ? - Fly the shortest track distance to FACT-YMML (5576 NM). Non-commercial ferry flight, fly at your own risk? TFT approximately 11 hours with statistical winds. You’ll be flying outside of south polar area, nevertheless you’ll still need to orient yourself for YWKS operation with prior arrangements. - Aim and file for FACT-YMHB (Hobart international) direct flight. File destination alternate as YMML? A little shorter to YMHB (5423 NM) + ~300Nm in between YMHB-YMML. In this option you’ll be flying within the south polar area for a while (South of 60 S). As you come close to YMBH request a direct divert to alternate YMML. - FACT-FIMP-YPPH-YMML= ~6870 NM (~15 hours without a landing and refueling). - FACT-FIMP-WII-YPDN-YMML= ~8374 NM At least one landing and refueling is required. Bearing is caring! 🐻 ✈ For cabin and flight crew, this phrase 👇🏽 is key 🔑 when things don't go exactly as planned. Whether there's delay, turbulence or it's taking a while to serve everyone, “bear with me” is a polite way of saying, "please be patient while we sort things out." 🙏🏽 It’s one of those expressions that helps keep things calm, just like flight attendants do during a flight. Have you ever had to ask passengers to "bear with you" on a flight? Share in the comments below! 💬 _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Thanks for checking out this post!
