Sheffield's East End is set for a major transformation as developer Citu secures planning permission for 362 new homes in the first phase of a wider regeneration project worth a total of £300m. The Attercliffe Waterside urban regeneration scheme will see 1,000 new homes built across three phases alongside new leisure amenities and workspace. 🛍   This is an exciting opportunity to create a vibrant and sustainable community in an area of Sheffield that has been previously overlooked in terms of housing. 🏘   It's great to see Citu is repurposing six existing historic buildings to include a café, bar, bakery, restaurant, offices and multi-purpose venue. This will not only preserve the heritage and character of the area, but also create new opportunities for local businesses and entrepreneurs. 💪   Where else in Sheffield needs some investment? Last week Hill Group UK announced that construction has begun at Station Road, Merton, delivered in partnership with Clarion Housing Group! “Located in a prime area with exceptional access to local amenities, this development will comprise 98 high-quality new homes featuring a mix of one, two, and three-bedroom apartments, each home will offer private balconies, modern fitted kitchens with energy-efficient appliances, and comprehensive amenities to support a high standard of living. **Indigo Development, Peterborough - Project Update** It has been 2 months since we shared an update on this project and as you can see from the photos these flagship buildings are really coming to life! Working for and in collaboration with Willmott Dixon and their development partner Cross Keys Homes, #ALDFacades are helping to create 315 affordable homes on 10-storey buildings. Indigo will comprise of two connected wings providing a mixture of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments and duplexes with a private communal courtyard as well balconies and roof terraces. There will also be 50 car parking spaces available, 10 with electric vehicle charging points and plenty of open spaces for everyone to enjoy. The development will bring much-needed affordable housing to the area. All of the homes will be let at discounted rents, set at or below 80% of the normal market rate. By time the project has finished #ALDFacades will have installed approx. 5500m2 Corium brick slip cladding (Taylor Maxwell) and 3300m2 of Rockpanel (Rockpanel). Latest property and construction news…..   Thirteen landmark buildings in the West Midlands are on Historic England’s Heritage at Risk list. The buildings include Kings Norton Old Grammar School and Tamworth Castle.   The first phase of New Garden Square’s scheme off Hagley Road in Edgbaston called Loundon’s Yard, has reached practical completion. Delivered by Moda Living, 398 to-rent apartments with co-working space, a gym, private dining space and a communal garden feature in the development. The second phase of the project has already received planning permission and will see a further 462 to-rent apartments being added with a rooftop terrace.   Zoopla is predicting house sale increases of 5% next year. The number of house sales completions this year are expected to finish ten percent above last year. Property values are anticipated to increase by an average of 2.5% in 2025. Midland house prices are expected to outperform the UK average.   The Mclaren building on Priory Queensway is to undergo a major refurbishment. The building opened in 1972 and will see a £2.4m investment. A gym, meditation room and bicycle storage space will be added along with new serviced offices.   Birmingham City Council’s planning committee has rejected plans for a three-building housing development to go ahead on Bristol Street. The proposal was to construct 550 to-rent apartments but concerns were expressed by committee members about the mix of accommodation, the design and heritage building concerns.   #property #construction #housing
