As placements approach, many of you preparing for product profiles will be creating case decks for companies like Flipkart, Groww, and others. I wanted to share my #shortlisted deck for the #Flipkart_APM_Program 2023, which was one of seven selected last year at IIT Kharagpur. I found inspiration in the structure and flow of previous shortlisted decks, and I hope this can serve as a helpful reference for your own preparations. Best of luck to everyone! #placements #productmanagement #deck

“Practical knowledge is the need of the hour!” At a recent panel discussion in a top MBA college, we dove deep into the importance of continuous learning, staying adaptable, and thinking out of the box. Just picture this: courses in college that are designed to make you learn operations from a former CXO at Myntra or scale business straight from the founding member at Uber India. How cool is that right? That's the kind of hands-on learning I'm all about! In my own journey, I've found that the lessons that really stick are the ones I've learned by doing. Whether it's creating content or social media marketing, real-world experience makes all the difference. While majority colleges in India still stick to the age-old curriculum, I strongly believe that practical, innovation-driven education is what we need. As I was researching new-age business programs for my brother, I came across the PG Program in Management and Tech by Scaler School Of Business. It's a game-changer—an 18-month program that puts practical learning and industry relevance at the forefront. What blew me away was how they have seamlessly blended theory with real-world practice. With hands-on projects sourced from real businesses, you get to dive deep into the industry. Not only this, you even get to build and launch your own ventures, test your business, sell your products and even secure funding! If you're as intrigued as I am, check them out below. It might just be the perfect fit for you! #practicallearning #projects #experience #collab

College helps in zero ways. Tada, this is what most people must be thinking when they start ranting about what college life is, Truth is the coin has two sides to it, so if only you flip it you’ll see the amazing journey of three long years, the bonds, the learning, playful experiences, friendship, freedom and more. College is an important part of our growth years, ditching it only means you have way more important things than to create memories of lifetime. I’m happy not to have ditched it. Can you tell me a year? A college? That’s way more prestigious than your own. The 2000’s batch of IIT Delhi! Yes! Flipkart - Sachin Bansal Zomato - Deepinder Goyal BharatPe - Ashneer Grover Blinkit - Albinder Dhindas All four unicorn founders have one thing in common. They’re outcomes of the same batch, same college. It’s not just a college, it’s a start to your memoir. #college #IIT #unicorns

People often ask why I pursued an MBA and if they should, too. For me, it was about connecting with like-minded individuals with an entrepreneurial mindset, learning with a diverse set of people, playing sports, and honing my personality. You need to ask how a full-time PG program fits into your journey and what YOU want from it. While interactive learning, business knowledge, skill development, and networking are core to any B-school, each institution offers something unique. Modern business schools are now catering to aspiring entrepreneurs. Take Scaler School Of Business, for instance, which is specifically designed to give you real-time business experience. - It offers a unique 18-month flagship residential program where building a business—from ideation to its grand launch—is core. - The curriculum is crafted by CXOs who've built billion-dollar businesses like Uber, McKinsey, and Myntra and offers hands-on experience with direct access to technology, founders, VCs, and industry leaders. - Job opportunities are abundant with 1,200 placement partners, including Google, Amazon, Bain Capital, Zomato, and Flipkart. Only 75 students will be selected for the founding cohort in August 2024, with scholarships up to 100%. Do check it out. More details are in the comments below. #collab #MBA #Entrepreneurship #BusinessSchool #CareerGrowth #ScalerSchoolOfBusiness

CA / IIT / IIM / CFA degree will give you an upper hand in getting your CV shortlisted. But whether you get an offer letter or not depends on your skills. There is a big whitespace in the current courses when it comes to building the skills needed to become industry-ready leaders. Scaler School Of Business is trying to bring that change with their full-time, 18-month PG Program in Management & Technology, where the focus is on providing real-time business experiences to their students. They build their own businesses, receive guidance from industry leaders who have built billion-dollar businesses, and have the opportunity to get funded by top VCs—all while being on campus. The most exciting part is that students get access to Scaler’s 1200+ placement partners at top MNCs and startups like Google, Amazon, Zomato, Flipkart & others The curriculum, instructors, projects and mentors all originate from CxOs who have built billion-dollar businesses like: ■ Bhavik Rathod, Ex-Founding Leader at Uber, leading it to $1B & then leading Uber Eats to $400m ARR ■ Manish Pansari, Ex-CXO Myntra led it to $400m ARR ■ Vidit Jain, Engagement Manager at Mckinsey The founding batch is only limited to 75 seats, and they have scholarships available up to 100% so check out the course via the link in the comment for more details. #collab #career #skills #degree

🌟 Exploring Career Paths: Why Choose MTech in India? While many people opt for an MBA after BTech or pursue an MS abroad, an MTech from a prominent institute in India can be a great option. It offers a less risky path for those who want to stay in tech and deepen their expertise. Namita shares her decision-making process in our latest video. She highlights why she chose to pursue an MTech at IIT Bombay, which eventually led her to a successful career at Google. We will be sharing more short videos from Hustle to Heights and soon the full episode as well. Would you like to see anything specific? 2014 → biggest ambition was to get into IIT/BITS 2017 → I heard about product management through Flipkart’s APM program 2023 → I was building a 0-1 product & solving revenue How many of us had multiple ambitions when we were just a kid? 🌟 How many of us did engineering just because it was a stable career option when we had no clue what we really wanted to do? 🤷♂️ Sounds relatable? But then, there are moments of serendipity when we break out of the shell and take the next leap of faith. 🚀 I spoke with Harshvardhan Agarwal at GrowthX® about my journey so far. Some highlights that stood out ✨: - How I ended up at BITS, studied Electronics Engineering & Chemistry and got placed at Deloitte in a consulting role. 🤯 - How I switched into a Product management role. 🔨 - How I joined GrowthX and our team ended up presenting at Demo day DD17 (top 2). ✌️ - How GrowthX helped me transform 🔄 I remember the first session on Acquisition at GrowthX where the first question itself was - Is your product even ready for acquisition? Yes, there is a litmus test to decide that whether a product is ready to acquire customers at scale: 👉 Are your users (early adopters) trying out the product? 👉 Are they retaining? 👉 Is there a willingness to pay? This is just one example. GrowthX helps you to build solid depth and provides a framework to approach any growth problem. Case in point - the capstone project where we built an in-depth growth strategy in 3 weeks that would otherwise take months at work - scale Orange Health labs from $5M to $12.5M in revenue without expansion of pin codes. I had some amazing mentors guide me throughout the process. Grateful to Abhishek Patil, Udayan Walvekar, Vikash Singh, Shantanu C. 🙌 Shoutout to my capstone teammates who helped each other compound 🔗 Arnima Jain Pulkit Nigam Anmol Goyal Jay Karia Akanshaa Rathi The next edition of Demo Day is here.
