Here’s an amazing fact - almost 10 to 12% of India’s GDP is spent on Logistics. That is more than the share of the software industry or the automotive industry! Meet the Man Who Hyperscaled a Struggling Brand into India’s Leading Electrical Giant In 1958, Qimat Rai Gupta left Gobindgarh, Punjab, with just ₹10,000 and a dream to change his family's fortunes. He migrated to Delhi and established a small electrical trading business in Bhagirath Palace, Asia's largest wholesale market for electrical products. 🚀𝗔 𝗠𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 In 1971, Gupta purchased the Havells brand for ₹700,000, transforming it from a modest trading company into a household name. Over four decades, he grew the company's revenue from lakhs to ₹16,500 crore. 💡 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 After Gupta's passing in 2014, his son, Anil Rai Gupta, shifted the focus from foreign technology reliance to in-house R&D, employing over 800 engineers.
