🌱 Stepping Into Kharif: A Reflection on Our Planning Strategy Today was a fruitful day at the RAMNAGAR -KARANJAKLA FPO as we had the honor of hosting the state Coordinator and delving into our Kharif season action plan. Discussing strategy with our FPO Board and staff not only highlighted our collective goal for sustainable agriculture but also reinforced the importance of community involvement in agricultural planning. 📊 The key outcomes: Enhanced strategies to boost crop yield. Integration of new sustainable practices. Community-specific approaches to problem-solving. As we gear up for the season, I'm curious to hear from my network: How do you approach action planning in your fields? Any innovative practices to share? #Agriculture #SustainableFarming #CommunityDevelopment

Jamnagar was once an arid land, but the Ambanis have transformed it into a green hub. The big fat pre-wedding festivities of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant have caught a lot of media attention, which was obvious, given the scale they operate at. But what is also surprising and a bigger achievement for the Ambanis is the revolution of Jamnagar, a place very close to them During the last couple of weeks , Ambani’s project Vantara has got massive media coverage, but very few of us know about the environmental transformation projects which have also been executed in Jamnagar by the Ambanis. Thanks to them, ➡ ️ The city now has the largest mango orchard in Asia with over 100 varieties of mango, and 1.5 lakh mango trees (Fun fact: This is Asia’s largest orchard and has helped Ambani’s become biggest exporter of mangoes). ➡ The city is also a home to more than 2.3CR Mangroves saplings on 875 acres of land around its Jamnagar refinery plant As a result of planting more trees the city has seen a massive increase in the average rainfall, and the flora and fauna has thrived. Unlike many who tweet about bad climate and pollution, the Ambanis have used their power and wealth to transform lives. They have turned the barren land of Jamnagar into a home to people, trees and animals - exactly how it should be We at Urvann believe nature is powerful, it can make the quality of life better, and this transformation is one such example of it. #vantara #ambani #jamnagar

Back in April, I had a chance to visit Cognisphere Solutions Limited’s operations in Dindori, Madhya Pradesh. This was an exposure visit to better understand the field work that was going on. One of the initial sites near Dindori where we started our operations was in Lalpur, where we have established a solar based irrigation pump. If one were to visit Dindori, one could see barren and fallow lands as far as the eye can see. As these lands cannot be used for agriculture, they are often left to bake under the scorching sun. If these lands are sold, they provide but a meagre compensation at best. Developing a plantation in these lands are both challenging as well as an exciting opportunity to develop an Afforestation project that can also revitalize the land significantly. It was really insightful to see the environmental challenges that people face and how climate shocks can affect people. Building their resilience against the effects of such shocks is the need of the hour. #climatechange #climateadaptation #sustainability #carboncredit #climatefinance #naturebasedsolution

Addressing Unethical Practices in Water Management - Indore, India's cleanest city and the startup capital of tier-2 cities, as well as the economic and cultural capital of Madhya Pradesh, moved me when I read the news. I am deeply concerned about recent revelations regarding illegal activities by an Executive Engineer within our Municipal Corporation. It has come to light that this individual has been involved in bribery and unauthorized water connections, leading to significant water loss and revenue leakage in an area where water is already scarce. Therefore, it's crucial to understand the importance of water monitoring. It's ironic that the same people entrusted with the city's water supply system are involved in unethical activities. As a society, we need to be more aware that our future generations could not suffer from a lack of drinking water. I urge all stakeholders, including government authorities and concerned citizens, to take swift and decisive action to rectify these unethical practices. We must ensure accountability and transparency in our water management systems to safeguard our resources for future generations. #WaterManagement #EthicalPractices #Sustainability #CommunityResponsibility Kritsnam Technologies Vinay Chataraju K.
