Moisture vapor emissions are the enemy of floor goods. Left untreated, moisture in concrete slabs can cause problems — big problems — including discoloration, blistering, mold, curling, and ultimately full flooring failure! To protect finished floors, Structis proactively mitigates slab moisture in renovations and new concrete construction. Based on your conditions and requirements, our subfloor prep experts will select the best treatment to avoid costly flooring replacement or repairs in the future. Structis combats slab moisture with these proven Maxxon solutions: • Maxxon Commercial MVP One — Ready-to-use, zero-VOC moisture barrier and primer that’s ready for underlayment or patch in 30 – 60 minutes. • Maxxon Commercial MVP Two-Part Epoxy — Zero VOCs, 100% solids epoxy coating for interior use over concrete with high moisture and pH levels. Cures in as little as 4 hours. • Maxxon Commercial Isolate — Two-part, water-based epoxy that blocks moisture and chemical residue from rising to the slab surface. Can be capped in as little as 6 hours. Why risk flooring failures or repairs? Reach out to Structis for lasting results. https://hubs.la/Q02Rj8Tb0 info@structis.com 888-232-3987 #moisturemigitation #concreteprep #flooringcontractor

𝐌𝐨𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐧 𝐖𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤 𝐇𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐜 𝐨𝐧 𝐄𝐩𝐨𝐱𝐲 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐬 Do you know what’s worse than having a flooring issue? Having your floor fail. If you install epoxy coating to a lower-level commercial floor or basement floor, moisture will become your biggest enemy. Moisture doesn’t disappear—it seeps through concrete slab, and if the slab isn’t tested before installation, it will cause cracking, bubbling, or even coating failure. A simple moisture test in the beginning will save you from having to spend a chunk of your budget down the road. Also, always follow epoxy coatings manufacturer’s recommendations. DID YOU KNOW That humidity probes do not actually measure concrete moisture? Concrete moisture exists in a liquid form, which cannot be detected by humidity probes. Concrete contains various hydrophilic, hygroscopic, and even deliquescent elements, such as aggregates of different sizes, surface areas, and shapes. These components attract and absorb moisture, making it resistant to evaporation. Additionally, alkaline components like sodium hydroxide and calcium hydroxide contribute to moisture absorption and may lead to issues like ASR and ACR. Humidity probes cannot measure these elements accurately, as they focus on vapor moisture only. Humidity probes measure where the concrete isn't, such as voids and cracks, rather than the concrete itself." If Humidity probes work so well, Why do we still have flooring failures due to “MOISTURE” I got this information from Robert Higgins

𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐞: 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐎𝐥𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐞 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐬 When commercial concrete floors are worn out, or if they’re dirty despite being properly cleaned and maintained, it means the protective coating on them is nearing the end of its service life. Adding concrete coating will allow you to avoid a floor replacement—saving you a great deal of money—and it will also make your concrete floors: • Last longer. • Less costly to maintain. • More visually appealing. • Resist peeling and cracking. Why You Should Switch to the Correct Material for Low-Slope Roofing If your home has low-slope or flat roof sections (2/12 to 3/12 pitch), using the wrong materials like 3-tab or architectural shingles can lead to premature wear, water pooling, and leaks. These shingles are designed for steeper roofs, meaning they don’t shed water efficiently on low slopes, increasing the risk of damage. For roofs with a 2/12 to 3/12 pitch, we recommend modified bitumen rolled roofing. This asphalt-based material is designed for low slopes, offering superior waterproofing and durability.
