#How does the power adapter product go from 0 to 1? Hi This is Flora from Hua Ying Int, today I will introduce to you the process of a power supply product from design to mass production. There are roughly three stages for power supply products from design to mass production: The first stage - scheme design: When our engineers receive the requirements, they start to design the PCB layout. After the PCB layout is completed, the drawings will be sent to the supplier for layout. At the same time, other required materials such as IC, capacitors, solutions, etc. will be arranged to the supplier. After the materials are in place, engineers start patching, debugging, and installing the machine. When a complete sample comes out, we enter the second stage - reliability testing: The first step after installation is to measure conduction and radiation to ensure that the product has 3-5 DB margin and can meet safety requirements. Then conduct temperature rise tests and other reliability tests. After the reliability test is completed, the product enters the third stage - small batch trial production. The engineering team, production team, and quality team follow up the entire process of small batch trial production in order to adjust the production process at any time to facilitate mass production of products. After the trial production is completed, we will arrange for safety regulations and formally accept orders for mass production. The above is the process of power supply products from design to mass production. How to determine how many layers to use for PCB ❓ ❓ ❓ 💡 The key to choosing the number of PCB layers is to balance demand and cost. Low frequency, simple circuits, single and double layer boards are sufficient. When faced with high-speed signals, electromagnetic compatibility challenges, or limited space, multilayer boards have even more advantages - It optimizes signal integrity, enhances thermal management, and improves reliability. When designing, consider assembly, weight, size and power plane requirements. Remember, although multi-layer boards are expensive, they can reduce external connections, which has significant benefits in the long run. How to choose the number of circuit board layers? Ultimately, make an informed choice between needs and cost. 🌈 🌈 🌈 Do you need PCB / PCBA production 🤗 🔔 Contact me 🔔 Email: olivia@szwells.com WhatApp:+86 18482109524

In this week's #FAQ, Kory Schroeder, Director of Marketing and Engineering at Stackpole Electronics, answer the question: "What is thermal resistance and what is the importance for resistors? Answer: Thermal resistance for resistors is used to describe the rate of heat flow from a given device, which is important in understanding the power handling capability. Higher thermal resistance means lower flow of heat from the component, and therefore will limit the power handling capability. Resistors with lower thermal resistance will dissipate heat more efficiently and therefore are able to handle more current, power, or energy. For surface mount resistors, it is difficult to define thermal resistance due to the many factors that influence it, such as solder pad size, PCB construction (materials, layout), and solder fillet. Resistor manufacturers often provide hot spot vs. applied power data for surface mount resistors, which provides a reference point under a certain set of conditions, but may not accurately depict all possible scenarios. #powersupply #server #worldofengineering
