I help swimming coaches build race-winning skills in a systematic manner. Follow for posts about how to develop the most important skills as quickly and easily as possible.
Using different hand postures is money for helping swimmers improving their pulling. One BIG mistake I’ve made in the past is just doing it slow. If swimmers have all the time in the world, it’s not to do difficult to set things up well. Add some speed and it’s a completely different story, and speed is what really matters. The easiest way to make that happen is with stroke rates. FORCE them to keep up. At first, it will be very ineffective. That’s GOOD because that means swimmers have the opportunity to improve. And as they learn to swim well with different hand postures at faster rates, that means they’re going to be that much more effective at holding water when swimming fast.

From Non-Swimmers to a Competitive Swimmer in the Family! 🏅🌊 Neither my husband nor I knew how to swim, which is why we prioritized swimming lessons for our son early on. Starting with 'Mommy and Me First' classes at just 3 months old, he was diving into individual lessons by the age of one. Today, he competes in swimming with absolute confidence and no fear of water. This transformation is not just about sports; it’s about safety. Dive into our journey and more in my book, "Safety First." Let's empower our kids with the skills they need! https://lnkd.in/eeeZDMd9

🌞🏊♂️ Summer Pool Safety Reminder! 🏊♀️🌞 As we dive into the summer fun, let's keep safety at the top of our list! Here are some essential pool safety tips to ensure everyone has a splashing good time: Supervision: Always have an adult supervising children in and around the pool. Keep a close eye on swimmers of all ages! Swimming Skills: Enroll kids in swimming lessons. Knowing how to swim can save lives. Life Jackets: Use them for young or inexperienced swimmers. Floaties are fun but not a substitute for a life jacket! Secure the Area: Install proper barriers, covers, and alarms on your pool. Make sure gates are self-closing and self-latching. No Running: Pool decks can be slippery. Remind everyone to walk, not run. Learn CPR: Be prepared for emergencies by learning CPR. Quick response can make all the difference. Stay Hydrated and Apply Sunscreen: Keep hydrated and protect your skin from the sun's harmful rays. Avoid Alcohol: Don't drink alcohol while supervising or swimming. Safety first! Let's make this summer safe and fun for everyone! 🌞💦 #PoolSafety #SummerFun #StaySafe #livelifewevegotthis
