💧 Addressing Overloaded Chiller Primary Pumps for Energy Savings 💧 At one of the facilities we’ve been monitoring, we identified an issue with the chiller’s primary pumps. Both pumps, each with a capacity of 5.5 kW, are consistently operating above 6.8 kW, indicating overloading. 🔍 Root Cause: The pipeline, which is over 15 years old and rusted, has been causing increased resistance and higher pump load. Ongoing pipeline and valve replacements will reduce this head pressure and bring the pumps back to optimal operating levels. 💡 Projected Annual Savings: Once the pipeline work is completed, the facility can expect annual energy savings of ₹1,59,432 by optimizing the pump performance.
