It was during my first internship at Snackible, where I learnt about my passion. Snackible was a budding venture in the world of healthy snacking when I joined them as a Business Development Associate intern.  Over the course of six months, I had the incredible opportunity to immerse myself in the art of client acquisition and retention.  My role involved convincing clients to try Snackible's products and purchase their assorted hampers.  Little did I know that I would be working with renowned brands there, securing orders for 200-400 hampers filled with nutritious snacks for their employees or festive occasions.  It was an incredible experience to witness the positive impact of our offerings on the well-being of these corporate communities.Beyond just sales, I gained invaluable insights into the importance of exceptional customer service.  From onboarding clients to managing their needs and delivering a seamless experience, I learned the intricacies of cultivating long-lasting relationships with consumers. Snackible taught me the fundamentals of business development, instilling in me an appreciation for the food industry that has only grown stronger over time.  It was during this internship that I discovered my true passion for the world of food and the impact it can have on people's lives. Although I have since pursued other internships with companies like McCain, my experience at Snackible remains the most cherished and formative of them all. It was here that I learned the art of client acquisition, the value of customer service, and the joy of working in an industry that nourishes both body and soul. My #internship ROCKED! A commercial shoot in the Bahamas, Nascar Award Banquet in NYC, and even a company party on Fire Island. #nationalinternday And while all of that should have been the reason it rocked, it wasn't. It was because it set the stage for my career. I interned at INTERNATIONAL HOME FOODS COMPANY, a private equity-owned holding company of iconic brands like Chef Boyardee, Crunch n' Munch, and Gulden's Mustard. That summer was the opportunity of a lifetime to not sit on the sidelines but actually participate and contribute to the business. I learned the basics; how to select markets for an FSI, how to run a consumption model, how to evaluate cold canned ravioli at 9 am in the morning. I loved it all, but few things have stayed with me longer from that time than the names of every newspaper in America, and they are: 💡 Smart and nimble teams are powerful.  Surround yourself with great people, not politics. You’ll achieve more than you ever could with even the largest team. 💡 The true definition of marketing is problem-solving. Marketing isn’t magic, it's solving your consumer’s needs,  your customer’s needs, your margin challenges, and your R&D impasse. The best marketers are the ones who listen and solve the real problem, not necessarily the one that was stated. 💡 As a marketer, you are responsible to those who use your products. Great, not-so-great products, your job is to make people believe in them; if you are good, they do. Take that seriously. Not everyone can work on the best products, but we can all do our part to raise the bar. At our one-day internship with 2024 grads, we held a workshop to teach students how to create a post and develop the mindset of a social media marketer. Here is a post by one of our participants, who took a beautiful picture of lettuce being produced in our factory while they toured around our factory. 🍄🌱 Had an amazing time during my internship! 🌱🍄 Let me share to you about one of the coolest things I learned in my first week of internship! Imagine walking into a room filled with rows of mushroom blocks, or as they call them here, "bongkah"🤯 That was exactly what I got to experience! So, picture this: my supervisor and the staffs shared with us on how they grow mushrooms especially oyster mushrooms. Oyster mushrooms are actually the ones we always buy and cook various dishes with it. Firstly, we have to make these substrate blocks for the mushrooms to grow in. Materials like sawdust, wheat bran and water must be inserted in the bags. And also not to forget, we have to sterilize to ensure no contamination! Once they are all ready, the mushroom seeds are being added. Then, we will have to wait till it harvest. But here is the really cool part, I even got to take some mushrooms home! 🏡🍄 It was such a great experience, and I can't wait to see where my journey takes me next! 🌟 #InternshipAdventures #MushroomMagic #LearningIsFun
