To me, calendaring/time-blocking is just data visualization, which helps you understand your time, which then lets you make better decisions with it. Some examples of what that looks like: -- Example 1: Knowing when to start -- Understanding: Based on my current workload, I need to start 17 days before this big deadline in order to fit in the time this project needs ⬇️ Decision: Start 17 days before ⬇️ Impact: No last minute cramming, less stress, work-life boundaries protected -- Example 2: Using time intentionally -- Understanding: I have 12 hours of free time scattered throughout my calendar this week. ⬇️ Decision: I'll use that time for my passion project, learning a new language, building relationships, etc. ⬇️ Impact: Time used more intentionally, greater sense of progress/achievement -- Example 3: Avoiding over-commitment -- Understanding: I only have 2 hours of wiggle room this week ⬇️ Decision: Turn down additional commitments ⬇️ Impact: Less stress, avoid burnout To-do lists are the raw data that helps you get organized, but calendars are the visualization you need to make better decisions with your time
Brilliant analogy
I love it, good job on the demonstration ✌️
