On this day we recognize the values and principles that Dr. King stood and fought for. These values are just as important today as they were when he lived and inspired people all over the world. Let us remember that the vision of today’s holiday was to keep contributing and keep building.

As we honor Dr. King’s legacy at this time, I find inspiration in Dr. King's last Sermon below, held on March 31, 1968, at The Cathedral Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul in the Diocese of Washington, where Dr. King recognizes that justice solutions must recognize the interconnectedness of all communities. Dr. King's message on unity, justice and shared responsibility, is a critical ingredient that must shape all #Climate Solutions. While we come together as a global community to mitigate the #cause of climate change, we need to equally double down on driving climate and environmental justice for frontline communities, in direct harm's way of the #consequences of climate change, for whom Dr. King sacrificed his life. In Dr. King's words: "All of this tells us that our world is a neighborhood. Through our scientific and technological genius, we have made of this world a neighborhood, and yet we have not had the ethical commitment to make up it a brotherhood. But somehow and in some way we’ve got to do this: We must all learn to live together as brothers, or we will all perish together as fools. We are tied together in the single garment of destiny, caught in an inescapable network of mutuality. Whatever affects one directly affects all indirectly. For some strange reason, I can never be what I ought to be until you are what you ought to be. And you can never be what you ought to be until I am what I ought to be". https://lnkd.in/eJ4cr5eF #Martinlutherkingjr #ClimateJustice #EnvironmentalJustice Full transcript: https://lnkd.in/ejBV_gzQ

As we celebrate the life of Dr. Martin L. King, Jr., we are reminded about the power of thinking and dreaming. Dr. King inspired us to think differently and dream bold dreams of love and justice for all. Our thoughts are the very foundation of our actions and motivations. Without the power of thought, it is virtually impossible to decide to live out one of my favorite Scriptures which says, “We live by faith and not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7 CEB). Each day we have to decide to walk by faith and not fear, but this decision begins with a single idea that graduates into an action that is life-transforming. To honor Dr. King today, walk by faith and dare to dream and think differently. Read more in my new book: Faith: 4 Essential Practices https://lnkd.in/g6pdEzah

Founder, Good Turns Foundation | Purposeful World | Purposeful Britain | Purposeful Education | Author | Purposeful Ambassador | Helping to "create a world where good is valued and people and communities thrive" |
Goodness, Honor, Trust, Respect ... Values & Purpose Lest we forget ... on the 80th anniversary of D-Day the world comes together to remember the huge sacrifices made by all those who fought for our freedom - and to ensure future generations could flourish. King Charles III, at the end of his speech today, made these poignant remarks: "Among the names inscribed on the walls and pillars of this memorial are men and women from more than 30 different nations and many faiths. United, they fought together for what my grandfather, King George VI, described as ‘a world in which goodness and honour may be the foundation of the life of men in every land’. As we stand alongside their remaining friends and comrades on this hallowed ground, let us affirm that we will strive to live by their example, let us pray such sacrifice need never be made again and let us commit to carrying forward their resounding message of courage and resilience in the pursuit of freedom, tempered by the duty of responsibilities to others for the benefits of younger generations and those yet unborn. Our gratitude is unfailing and our admiration eternal.” We have much to do to honor the legacy afforded to us and to once again build a world where Values are Valued ... and if we fail to do this, they will, quite rightly, not forgive. https://lnkd.in/ed-q55bp #Dday #Values #ValuesAreValued #Good #Goodness #Trust #Honor #Respect #Purpose #Purposeful #PurposefulBritain #PurposefulWorld #PurposefulGovernment #PurposefulAmbassador

What is the solution for this horrible spiraling downward that the U.S. and World Economies are facing? First of all, we need to look at who is in charge. King Charles III of the United Kingdom is over all of the United Kingdom's Commonwealth. This includes over 50 Countries and four states in the United States. King Charles III wants to ELIMINATE all usage of Petroleum. He uses the World Economic Forum to push his Agenda. King Charles III also wants to push nothing but Communism and eliminate Capitalism. We must go back to our old ways. End of Story.

Winston Churchill Anachronistic Projection Winston Churchill is often celebrated as a hero of World War II and a champion of democracy. However, projecting contemporary values of anti-colonialism and racial equality onto his legacy can obscure the complexities of his views and policies.Impact on Perception Churchill's leadership during the war is often lauded, but his views on imperialism and race were reflective of the norms of his time, which included a belief in British superiority and a commitment to maintaining the British Empire. Anachronistically applying modern perspectives can lead to a distorted view of his legacy, neglecting the implications of his policies on colonized peoples and the complexities of his character.
