January is a beautiful month: Christmas parties are over, and one finds time to play with the gifts. One of mine was the book “Flying Blind: The 737 MAX Tragedy and the Fall of Boing”, which I am now reading. At the example of Boing, it is an eye-opener of what aggressive cost-cutting and maximization of shareholder value, combined with ever weaker control from independent bodies or public authorities, can lead to. A good case study, applicable to many industries and companies, and illustrative for the dynamics of large corporations!

Who do you want to become? One day, the grandson boasted to his grandfather about a book that he had bought with the money given to him. He leafed through the book, then sighed heavily - he did not approve. His grandson asks: - Tell me, why were you sad when you saw my book? The grandfather showed his grandson to the shelves with household books that the grandson had not read, and replied: — Choice is the result of aspirations. If you wanted to become a pilot, you would choose a book about airplanes and pilots; if you wanted to become a scientist, you would buy something related to science. But you bought yourself a book about scandals and various nonsense. So I started thinking - what do you want to become? MORAL: Who you will be in the future determines three things: ▪️What books do you read; ▪️What kind of people do you communicate with; ▪️What kind of video are you watching. For God And My Country
