Rexy Rolle, Esq. has officially reached soaring heights in the aviation industry. Here’s what you probably don’t know: When Rexy first started back in 2000, she had nothing more than a love for aviation instilled by her parents. She saw this as an opportunity—and took it. Her gameplan: Orchestrate acquisitions of aircrafts and properties. Negotiate aviation-related transactions and oversee contractual agreements. As you can probably guess: it worked. By today, Rexy Rolle has risen to an unparalleled level of success—way beyond she probably ever thought possible for herself. She's recognized globally in Forbes, Essence, BET News and other popular media outlets. She's credited for reinvigorating Western Air’s trademark on-time performance, resulting in significant market share growth. And the rest is history. Spirit Airlines Makes BIG Move! #Whats_Happening : Given its recent challenges with his merger with #JetBlueAirways, and its recent push to seek for new capital injection through additional credit, it is no surprise that #SpiritAirlines might be looking for new ways to bolster its operations and drive its revenue moving forward. #Go_Deeper: Spirit Airlines is looking to move away from this key market While it was founded in Detroit as a charter air company in the 1960s, Spirit Airlines  (SAVE)  eventually built a large market offering low-cost flights to popular vacation destinations and moved its headquarters to Florida's Miramar in 1999. Flights from cities such as Miami, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, Tampa, Fort Myers and West Palm Beach to other parts of the country make up the main bulk of the airline's route network while the flight between Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) and Atlanta's Hartsfield Jackson (ATL) is the airline's most widely-booked — in January 2024, Spirit ran nearly 300 #flights between the two cities (Veronika Bondarenko, the Wall Street Journal) Spirit Airlines eyes more connecting flights, less reliance on Florida as it attempts business turnaround. Spirit Airlines is moving forward again after several years of "inertia" following the coronavirus pandemic and the carrier's failed merger attempt with JetBlue, chief commercial officer Matt Klein said (Edward Russell, The Point Guy) Spirit adds 9 new routes in latest network adjustment Spirit Airlines continues to rearrange its network with the addition of nine new routes. The Miramar, Florida-based carrier quietly loaded a slew of new flights over the weekend, as first seen in Cirium schedules and later confirmed by a carrier spokesperson. For more than 30 years, Bob Jordan has been cast as Mr. Fix-It in different roles at Southwest Airlines. Revamping the airline’s business model is his biggest challenge yet. At an investor event last month, the 64-year-old confidently laid out Southwest’s plan to assign seats at booking and sell premium seats with extra legroom for the first time. The airline is also hitting the brakes on growth in the coming years, slashing unprofitable routes and making plans to sell planes. But Southwest’s battle with activist investor Elliott Investment Management L.P. has become a referendum on Jordan, the company’s chief executive since February 2022, and whether the ultimate insider can make changes that some investors and passengers say are long overdue. Jordan is steeped in the airline’s quirky and offbeat culture. He peppers messages with Southwest lingo such as “Warrior Spirit” and frequently tells employees he loves them, playing on the company stock ticker symbol LUV in notes. Some investors and former Southwest executives are skeptical that is enough and say that Jordan loves the company and its traditions too much to challenge them. Strikes and production halts continue to impact the business as Boeing struggles to stabilize its operations. 5️⃣ GE Aerospace’s engine supply challenges continue: GE CEO Larry Culp highlighted persistent engine supply chain issues impacting LEAP engine deliveries, but their confidence in long-term growth remains strong. Spirit problems are not only network but also strategy… ULCC’s have a really hard time gaining market share due to US market high GDP per capita. There’s a need to bump up services, especially on cabin. Development of an upgraded economy product would dramatically increase yielding, along with a more focused distribution network (more Alaska Airlines network, less Southwest).
