At Liquid and Grit, our hiring testing system was inspired by Van Halen's playbook. You might have heard of the infamous "no brown M&M's" clause in Van Halen's concert contracts. Here’s a cheat sheet for getting hired as a field service engineer at Liquid - We Make It Easier!   DEMONSTRATE A SENSE OF URGENCY   That’s it.   Be incredibly responsive with us. If we contact you, respond in minutes or a few hours at most. If we want to meet you, make yourself available in very short order.   Prove that you are flexible, responsive and social. The first thing we are going to ask of you is to simply have a conversation with us. We want to see whether you can be social and connect with other people, because our FSEs are always out in the world, meeting people for the first time and connecting with them.   This isn’t the way we deal with every job applicant; some of the roles in our company demand a different set of skills.   But FSEs are the heart of our company. They are a unique breed of human being, capable of working well under pressure, being decisive and proactive. They are the reason we make it easier for our clients.   If you want to be one, act that way long before we actually hire you. #hiring #techcareers
