Last week, FMC celebrated the 30th anniversary of our European Research and Development Center (ERDC), in Nambsheim, France. Since being acquired in 2017, ERDC has been pivotal to our agricultural #innovation and #sustainability efforts. With 15 growth chambers, 23 laboratories, 3 greenhouses, and 65 hectares of field trials, our team of 25 R&D specialists drives groundbreaking research. ERDC is part of the Regional Development Organization and supports early-stage development of molecules and biocontrol agents. Our team conducts regional resistance monitoring programs across weeds, fungi, and insects and runs lab to field activities from initial screening on European crops to late development and pre-launch field trials for both synthetic and biological products, generating the essential data that drives product launches, sales, and #stewardship. Our latest breakthrough, Isoflex™ active, stands as a testament to this commitment. In the presence of executive vice president and chief technology officer, Seva Rostovtsev and FMC vice president EMEA Sebastià Pons, the gathering featured a rich agenda with presentations, as well as site and lab tours. The event welcomed keynote speakers: Mark S. Brooks, FMC Ventures Managing Director, Cyril Zipfel, professor of Molecular and Cellular Plant Physiology and Marcel van der Heijden, professor of Agroecology and Plant-Microbiome Interactions, both from the University of Zurich and Prof. Dr. Katrin Muff, professor at The Institute for Business Sustainability.
