When I take on a repair job that has already been carried out, I always ask myself: 🤷♂️ What did the welder do?! 🤷♂️ Where were the welding foreman, the supervisor and the quality department?! 🤷♂️ Why didn't management intervene? A repair is always more expensive 💸 than carrying out welding work correctly 💯 from the start. It becomes clear that not only the welders need to be trained to carry out the welding work correctly, but also the entire team involved (foreman, QC team and management). If you want to save money and time while increasing quality and productivity, contact 👉 #CTCweld www.ctcweld.com We view each case individually and confidentially 🤝 #welding #weldinginspector #weldingtraining #weldinginspection #weldingexcellence #qc #qcinspector #qualitycontrol #qualitymanagement #management #productivity #quality #mag #welder #wps

12 year+ Experienced AICIP/ AS1796 and 2214/IWS/ISO9001 auditor/NACE1 and 2/trainer assessor/ QAQC MGMT/ welding and fabrication and QA/QC consulting.
Welding supervisors, inspectors and welding engineers. I'm interested in your thoughts on Lincoln Hyperfill or similar dual wire welding. I've seen really good PQRs with decent results. But possibly abnormally high in the tensiles, and broken in the HAZ. I haven't seen one with impacts yet though (jury is out). The super high travel speeds make me wonder about repeatability as well. Which high depositon processes can bring out, with defects like LOF. Also in my limited experience I've seen hyperfill Macros with a definite pattern to centreline (think solidification). I understand all the typical "it's fast" commentaries. But time can be saved smarter in fabrication and management times. Interested in your thoughts or experiences.

On Thursday, October 17, 2024, I attended the "Basic Welding Inspection" class organized by @Engineering Academy ID while driving 😁. This providevaluable insights into the fundamentals of welding inspection, focusing on ensuring weld quality and safety in industrial settings. The class covered essential topics such as types of welding defects, inspection techniques, and industry standards. Engineering students and professionals learned the importance of thorough inspection processes in maintaining structural integrity and safety. But I can get some picture for shared because my lack of access during driving If you're looking to expand your expertise in welding inspection, visit bit.ly/regwi10.

Masenn Lewis is the lead welder here at James Engineering. During an exclusive interview with him, he reveals some career-defining advice for all future welders! What makes James Engineering stand out? “I’ve worked for other companies where you don’t have access to be able to talk to engineers, to figure out what problems are, and I think that is a pretty strong suit of this company—that we’re able to do that.” What advice would you offer to people who are just getting into welding? “Don’t be afraid to get your hands dirty at all. Welding is an industry where you have to work hard. There’s no reason for you to be watching other people work and always have an open mind when welding. There’s a thousand ways to do it. One time it might work one way, but the next time it might not work. So you need to be able to be pretty open minded to be able to work on stuff.”

It’s always been a problem for me when just because you have a engineering degree you are qualified to do welding inspection? I have found that not to be true, I would never say I can do a engineers job without having the knowledge and experience? I have been a NDT operator and a fabricator/ welder, welding instructor and site Quality Manager. But would never say I know everything when it was only a small part of my degree program? Its good to know the basics but that doesn’t mean you can do the job and know all the problems and know when it’s not being done properly or to code ?
