To learn and sustain SAP Skills, here's what you need to know; 1) Who is/are the primary user/users of the solution? 2) Why they need an IT tool to complete all/some of their jobs? 3) How they can perform their jobs better by using SAP? 4) What are all of the activities they need to perform in the system? 5) Which of the tasks are interdependent & require sequential steps? 6) When a step is considered in progress or completed? 7) Where can you see the results of a process activity? After getting to know the 1) Stakeholders of an application, 2) Business need of a solution, 3) Value offered by SAP module, 4) Importance of each activity, 5) Process in its entirety, 6) Processing steps, 7) Impact of the effort, ... you can perform better in your career. Don't expect others to do it on your behalf as no one knows the skills gaps you have better than you. The last advice: Invest your time, money and effort wisely.
