Phil Jones told Utility Week that proposed bill discounts were “not exciting enough” and investing in community projects – like schools – would be a better option. Complaints from customers to CCW about water meters have increased by 30% year-on-year, according to the watchdog’s annual complaint handling report. CCW said this was particularly concerning given most water companies are planning a big rollout of smart meters over the next few years.
