In the pursuit of success, I focused on climbing the corporate ladder. Fueled by the desire to get the coveted promotions I gave it my all - late nights, early mornings, every ounce of dedication. Anytime I heard others’ names being promoted but not mine, disappointment hit hard. Instead of dwelling on what could have been, I was inspired by the future, but also embraced the mantra, “bloom where you are planted.” focused my energy on my personal growth in the present and discovered unexpected opportunities right where I was. You see, When we’re fixated on a future promotion at the expense of present responsibilities, we may face several negative consequences: - Current performance and quality may suffer as our attention is diverted. - The cost of fixation on future success may contribute to higher stress and anxiety. And - The future opportunities may be in jeopardy. My advice ... keep one foot in the present and one in the future. . . . #clip #reel #story #success #performance #corporate #leadership #executivecoaching #teamcoaching #groupcoaching #focusonsolution #womeninleadership

Ever feel like the career path you've fought so hard to climb isn't what you expected? You're not alone. Many find that reaching what seems like a career pinnacle doesn't satisfy or align with their needs or values. It's a tough realization, especially when you've invested so much of your life in getting there. I've seen a real trend of executive directors stepping away from their roles, not because they lack dedication, but because the work is incredibly demanding and often isolating. The truth is, it’s okay to admit that a path isn’t right for you, no matter how far you've travelled down it. Part of my work involves helping these leaders navigate their departures thoughtfully and intentionally. We ensure they leave their organizations in strong hands and in a way that considers the team they're leaving behind. This process isn't just about exiting a job; it's about transitioning with integrity and setting the stage for new opportunities that reignite passion and purpose. Change is not just inevitable; it can be liberating. If you're contemplating a shift, know that it’s perfectly okay to change direction. Your career is a long journey, and it’s essential to find joy and fulfilment along the way. If you’d like a partner to walk alongside you as you find your true purpose, I can help. 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗮 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿? 60% of personal achievements start with a small but firm decision. Ever had a moment where a simple yes or no changed your life forever? Let me share a story. Jane was an average employee at her firm, always blending into the backdrop. One day, her manager asked if she could lead a small project. Nervous and unsure, she almost declined, but then decided to step out of her comfort zone. That small "yes" transformed her career. She led the project successfully and soon became one of the top leaders at her company. The lesson? Small decisions can propel you to greatness. Taking that first step, no matter how small or uncertain, can lead to phenomenal growth. Here's what you can take away from Jane's story: 1. Embrace opportunities, no matter how insignificant they seem. 2. Trust in your abilities; you are more capable than you think. 3. Every step outside your comfort zone is a step toward personal and professional growth. So, next time you're faced with a choice, remember: that single decision could change your entire path #PersonalGrowth #CareerDevelopment #Leadership #DecisionMaking #EmbraceOpportunities #ComfortZone #SuccessStory #ProfessionalGrowth #Inspiration #Motivation

For me, proactiveness is the key to success in corporate life. Here’s why: Many successful professionals have one thing in common—they didn’t wait for opportunities; they created them. Take, for example, the countless individuals who began their careers in entry-level positions but quickly stood out by taking initiative. Rather than waiting to be promoted to a managerial role, they started acting like managers. They took on extra responsibilities, anticipated challenges before they arose, and consistently looked for ways to add value to their teams. Over time, their efforts didn’t go unnoticed. When the opportunity for promotion came, they were the natural choice—not because they had waited for it, but because they had already demonstrated that they were ready for it. The takeaway? Don’t wait for the title or position to start making an impact. Begin working at the level you aspire to, and the recognition will follow. Be proactive, take initiative, and make the opportunities you want happen. The path to growth isn’t about waiting—it’s about creating it. #CareerGrowth #Leadership #Proactivity #Initiative #SuccessStories

The essence of proactiveness is foresight, the ability to anticipate potential challenges and opportunities to stay ahead of the game Proactivity should not be a free-for-all. A clear structure is critical to avoid overlapping tasks and delays. Often, teams rush to complete as many tasks as possible without considering how these tasks fit together or how they impact the bigger picture. Milestone-based planning is a way to combat this issue. Instead of jumping from task to task, break down large goals into measurable milestones that ensure tasks are tackled in a logical. Each milestone should be associated with clear deliverables and realistic timelines, allowing leaders to allocate resources efficiently and avoid redundant work.

My inspired former boss once said, “If promotions came yearly, everyone would be a CEO in six years. True career advancement isn’t solely about performance metrics; it’s about cultivating balanced thinking, demonstrating patience, and developing a variety of essential skills and mindset.” This wisdom has always resonated with me. In our fast-paced world, real growth, both personal and professional, takes time, dedication, and patience. Embrace the journey, keep learning, and trust the process. Great things are worth waiting for! Success is a marathon, not a sprint. #Leadership #CareerGrowth #ProfessionalDevelopment

Yes! You start your career in your twenties and retire in your sixties. That is over 40 years of changes to success. A failure is a mistake that turns into a success. A year gap is an opportunity to rethink your strategy. A layoff is an end that pushes you to start again. Don’t beat yourself up about short term changes. Build your future ready to face the unknown: that’s what makes it YOUR story. #career #layoffs #mistake #gapyear
