While reviewing and updating my passwords, I realize I have 55 SEPARATE MYWORKDAYJOBS logins! Can someone please fire the person at Workday who thought it was a good idea to require a new login for every job you apply for using the platform. I'm to the point now where I won't apply to any job using that platform for the application. Comment below if you feel the same way. #myworkdayjobs #jobsearch

Dear Workday, While I appreciate your #HRIS & #HCM coverage across global companies, I would like to request a stronger focus on making the #Job_search process more efficient. (my 2 cents) Over the past 100 days, I have applied to at least 2-3 new jobs each day. Consequently : -> I have created over 200 login accounts and passwords. -> I have bookmarked more than 200 different WD-websites to track my #job_applications. -> I have repeatedly input the same personal and professional information over 200 times. This redundancy creates a significant burden and reduces the efficiency of the application process. As a result, I have recently started providing only the "#mandatory" information in job applications, often omitting the rest. According to the latest LinkedIn data statistics (April 2024), there are #33_million people globally who are #Open_to_Work. Even if each has applied to a minimum of 10 jobs, a total of #330_million WD accounts would have been created. My request is to enhance the "#user_experience" for applicants while also #streamlining the #talent_acquisition process for companies. While I fully understand that many individuals have likely provided similar feedback and I acknowledge the challenges involved in implementing these ideas—including numerous data privacy and security protocols, governance structures, and obtaining consent from both users and companies. However, I am confident that this can definitely be "#Achieved" in the long run. What could be the feasible Solution? Revolutionizing the Job Application process for users while providing comprehensive benefits to both applicants and companies. By Introducing a "#Centralized_Profiling_and_Career_Management_system" within Workday's #HRIS_HCM system, wherein -> #Employees : Will be able to create a single #Master_profile and be to apply to multiple jobs seamlessly, manage their career documents, and receive tailored job recommendations with a SSO. -> #Employers : Will be be able to access verified candidate information & recorded career history, authenticated documents cutting the BGV time and simplifying recruitment process. I have put some thought into this overnight and outlined the details in the "attached document", hoping it will resonate and make sense. Have a Happy Weekend :) Regards, RM Tagging Workday Workday for the Office of HR Workday for Higher Education #Workday #WD #RecruitmentProcess #ProcessOptimization #Hiring #WorkdayOptimization

🔒 **#WorkdaySecurityTip | Enhancing Security with Workday Reporting and Effective Role Management** Enhancing security in Workday is an ongoing commitment that requires strategic use of its reporting and role management capabilities. Here are key practices that can safeguard your organization's data: 🔹 **1. Access Policies (View/Modify)** Regular audits through Workday reports are crucial for controlling who can view or modify sensitive information. Establish dashboards with pertinent reports to continuously monitor these access policies. **Tip:** Keep these dashboards regularly updated to ensure timely adjustments in access control, aligning with changing security requirements. 🔹 **2. Business Process Policies** Workday's reporting tools allow for a detailed analysis of business process policies, ensuring that each workflow is secure. This is essential for maintaining a consistent security posture throughout all organizational processes. **Tip:** Utilize these insights to enhance your security protocols, reducing vulnerabilities across your operations. 🔹 **3. Integration Rights (GET & PUT)** Managing the rights of external systems that integrate with your Workday environment is vital for security. Detailed reports can help monitor which systems have access to retrieve (GET) or update (PUT) data, providing clear visibility and control. **Tip:** Regular audits of these rights are necessary to ensure that only essential integrations have access and that they adhere strictly to your security standards. 🔄 **Role Management and Global Workload Distribution** Assigning roles in Workday should align with your security governance, which can involve collaboration across different countries or specific business units. Regular training for all involved parties helps distribute workload efficiently while maintaining security oversight. **Tip:** Regular engagement and training with all teams involved ensure that everyone is updated on the latest security practices and changes. 🖥️ **Monitoring Through Security Dashboards** Implementing security dashboards for ongoing surveillance of your Workday system is essential. These dashboards can provide real-time insights into security metrics, helping you to respond swiftly to any potential vulnerabilities. **Tip:** Design these dashboards to highlight critical security indicators and configure alerts for unusual activities. 🛡️ **Building a Robust Security Framework** These strategies are foundational for any organization looking to strengthen their Workday security and ensure compliance with industry standards. Effective monitoring and proactive management of security settings are crucial in protecting sensitive data and supporting operational needs. Workday Tips on Configurable Security! The Good Part: Configurable security lets you efficiently manage user access. By grouping users and defining their permissions through security policies, you streamline operations and ensure everyone has the right access based on their roles. The Challenging Part: Unlike magic, Workday doesn't automatically adjust to changes in your business processes. This means you need to regularly update its configuration to avoid hiccups and ensure everything runs smoothly. Pervious relatable experience: Once, we had users complain about discrepancies in benefits options for new hires in Workday. After digging in, we found out that changes to eligibility criteria by the benefits administrator were not communicated to the support team. This led to confusion during benefits enrollment. We quickly updated the system to reflect the new criteria and communicated the changes widely to prevent similar issues. Key Things to Consider: Automated Permissions: Save time by grouping users based on their roles for easier permission management. Centralized Access: Use a single security model to control access across integrations, reports, and IT resources. Scalability: Be prepared to adjust your security setup as your organization grows. Questions to Ponder and Tips for Success: How do you decide who can access what in Workday? What level of access should different roles have for tasks, reports, and business processes? How do you handle changes in security settings? Do you need to grant access to third-party resources in your Workday system? Use preconfigured security groups that are community-tested and verified by Workday. Keep security settings as minimal as possible to enhance protection. Streamline your setup by disabling features and policies you don't use. What about you? Have you ever been in a spot faced challenges where system security updates lagged behind changes in your organization? #workdaytips, #workday #workdaysecurity #erppro #workdayadvisory #savingyourworkday #knowledgesharing #workdayeveryday

Your #workday reports are useless until your end users get eyes on the data! 📊👀 Here’s a tip to ace custom report security… https://lnkd.in/ggeqKDHU

Hi #workday network! 👋 Here's a custom reporting / security tip that may save you hours of frustration… You ever build a report containing business process related data (like staffing transactions), and struggle to figure out why your end users can’t see the data? This post contains your likely solution! Here’s the context (skip to the 🧩 if you just want the answer)… You built a gorgeous staffing transactions report for your executives. With one report, you've summarized insight into all hires, terminations, job changes, transfers, promotions, etc. at month's end. Oh, the VALUE! You proxy as your end users to test the report and... ...they can run the report, but can't see ANY of the amazing data you've visualized for them! 😫 You confirm that your end users have access to all the domains that secure the report data source and fields, including drill down fields, filters, prompts, etc... They've got access to everything. Why in the world can't they see the staffing data!? Here's the missing puzzle piece... 🧩 "View All" permission on the Business Process Security Policy! When you report on business process transactions, like staffing events, your end users also need "View All" access on the Business Process Security Policy associated with the business process(es) you are reporting on. A few examples for you... 🔎 To see hire event data --> User needs "View All" access on the Hire BP security policy 🔎 To see termination event data --> User needs "View All" access on the Termination BP security policy 🔎 To see job change data --> User needs "View All" access on the Change Job BP security policy Yes, #reporting in Workday is powerful, but your data is useless until you get it in front of the right eyes! I once banged my head against a wall for hours on this one. It seems obvious once you get there, but until it clicks, this #security fix is elusive... Has this one stumped you before?! Over ninety three days. ‼️ That’s how long, on average, it would take for you to get hired if you applied to the #FederalGovernment. This is the longest hiring process of any industry and makes losing the best candidates to faster hiring organizations a MAJOR risk. Which isn’t surprising. The government has to follow best practices that are unique to them; laws, regulations, and security clearances do slow down the hiring process. And these exist for a reason and won’t be changing anytime soon. But what can change are the old and disparate HR systems that add lag and complexity to an already cumbersome process. That’s why Workday has and continues to Federalize its market leading Human Capital Management offering. Meaning: the same HR system that 70% of the #Fortune50 rely on will now come out of the box ready to help with things like par processing, veteran’s preference, rating and ranking, certificate of eligibles, and more. With #Workday you can: ✅ speed up administrative tasks with built-in automation, ✅ make better decisions by consolidating candidate data into a single system, ✅ and collaborate easily across your recruitment team thanks to configurable workflows. Plus - thanks to its mobile capabilities 📲, when I applied to Workday, I did it with my thumbs, on my cell phone in a matter of minutes. ⏰ NO WONDER why Workday’s #PublicSector customers have reduced time-to-hire by 83%. Can you imagine a world where the Federal Government hires candidates as quickly as the Fortune 500? We can.

Hey Workday .... Why do I have to have 1,000 logins for the same site? I know each company has their own version of your site as it is customizable. But I am sure there is a way to link a candidates email address to one profile for the jobseeker. Then turn the security on your end to ensure that the candidates applications to various companies were not seen by other companies using the same site? SSO for example? Or some variation of it? Just spit balling here.... I would really just like to see all of my applications in one spot and not have to fill out the same information EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. There has to be a more efficient way. Thanks, #jobseekers #workday

As someone who works in IT, we implement processes to be robust but also efficient. Obviously there are tradeoffs with efficiency when implement security controls. However, if you use Workday for your hiring process I can guarantee you are losing half the candidates you could receive. There is genuinely nothing efficient about Workday and maybe I speak for myself but as soon as I see a workday page I immediately close it. It’s honestly just a data collection scheme to have you create accounts constantly for each different company. 0/10 wouldn’t recommend
