October is National Physical Therapy Month and to celebrate, we are proud to spotlight one of our dedicated recipients, Faith Tinney! A big thank you to all of our wonderful donors who make these life-changing scholarships possible. Faith Tinney majors in Pre-Physical Therapy at Rogers State University and aims to become a physical therapist. She shares, “I have been blessed with this Folds of Honor Scholarship because I don’t have the worries of money hanging over my head. I am also a Cross Country and Track athlete in college and overall training hours add up to over 3 a day. Running is a full-time job so this scholarship money lets me only need to work over school breaks. Sophia Valentin is in 9th grade at a private school in Lake Mary, FL, and has a passion for art, reading, writing, and music. Melissa Valentin (mother of Sophia) shares, “I would like to thank Folds of Honor for the opportunity to receive a scholarship to help my children attend private school. After losing my husband, one of my greatest worries has been finding a place where my children can receive a quality education. Like many military children, they have moved frequently, lived overseas for most of their lives, and have been homeschooled for several years. The chance to receive this aid gives me hope that they can find a stable environment to achieve their educational goals.
