PMO Leader | IT Program/Project Management | Agile/Scrum/SAFe Methodologies | Lean Agile Transformation | Change Management | Stakeholder Communication | Cross-Functional Team Leadership
As we transition from Winter to Spring, it's important to remember even though tomorrow is Groundhog's Day; that job seeking is not Groundhog's Day. While January's LinkedIn feed may have been negative with unfortunate layoffs and posts of fatigue and despair from job seekers, February is starting off on an interesting note. Many people with jobs to fill are sharing tips on how to get past the Easy Apply button, and some hiring managers are posting interesting stats on the hundreds of applicants they receive from this feature: Anecdotal story: For one hiring manager on my feed; only 1 of 316 applicants even attempted to connect with them. As I continue my own job search, my goals for February are to identify 5 open positions daily that I feel could be a match and apply, utilizing whatever I can to not just click the "Easy Apply" button. I also plan to connect with a new recruiter or share with my network two new people each week. And finally, I'll continue to sharpen the teeth of my own skillset saw. Stay positive and keep pushing forward!

To everyone that has been affected by the recent layoffs at Toast and other organizations in the recent months, I understand how difficult it can be to navigate through unexpected changes in your career journey, especially when it comes to parting ways with a company you've dedicated your time and effort to. Having gone through layoffs myself in the past, I know the feelings of uncertainty and the processing of this quick and sometimes unexpected change can be a lot to take in. Change, though often daunting, can also open doors to new possibilities and growth opportunities. With that in mind, I would like to share some positive news and make you aware of some opportunities to continue your career journey here with us at HungerRush. We are currently hiring for roles in Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing Operations, and more. If you're interested in joining our team or learning more about the opportunities available, please don't hesitate to reach out to me directly or apply. If anyone else has any colleagues affected by the layoffs at Toast or any other company feel free to forward this information along. Wishing you all the best on your journey forward. https://lnkd.in/gqUbukxD #lookingforwork #possolutions #pos #hungerrush #nowhiring #hiring #layoffs #opentowork #toast #toastlayoffs

Have you noticed that our attention spans have reduced a fair bit? In fact, the average time that a person can focus on one thing has dropped from around 2½ minutes to around 45 seconds. Which means we have less time to make the right impression on customers. We have to make sure we are showing our value from the first sentence we say or write to our prospect clients. So we can cut through the noise and help candidates and clients make sense of why you’re calling. Shane is going to be talking through a few ways you can do just that, in our session around Creating Killer Openings. I’m sure if you want to be involved, the guys at TEAM will be able to squeeze you in 👊🏾

Today in #lifeafterlayoffs: There's levels to this. By "this," I mean supporting your job-hunting friends. Good: Sending a job description for which they'd be a good fit. Better: Sending a job description for which they'd be a good fit, along with the name of a connection at the company. Best: Sending a job description in a message that connects them with someone on the hiring team, vouching for their fit for the role and the organization.
