Cultural Quotient/Intelligence is becoming just as important as Intelligence Quotient and Emotional Quotient. Cultural heritage is a precious gift, an invisible thread that ties us to our ancestors. It is incumbent on us as parents to ensure that our children understand their culture, traditions, and the language and lands of their lineage. Steeped in time-honored wisdom, traditions offer unique learning experiences, shaping the moral fabric of young minds. They teach empathy, respect, and social responsibility while providing a sense of belonging. Embracing one's native language is akin to preserving an intimate part of a culture. It's not just about the dialogue, but also the rich array of idioms, proverbs, and nuanced structures that offer deep insights into a community's worldview. This dual language capability fosters cognitive development, improved communication skills, and a broader perspective of the world. The connection to ancestral lands is equally crucial in cultivating roots. The landscapes of our past shape our collective memories and self-identity. Regaining these ties helps children appreciate nature, understand the persistence of life, and respect their forebears' struggles and triumphs. At last some common sense arguments to challenge all those that would rather virtue signal. A philosophy I have long stood by during my long life. When you know you have to do something then make sure you do something that is going to make a real difference rather than do something easy just so you can say you’re doing something.
