STANDING OR SITTING? A Cardiovascular Dilemma 📋 Research highlights the importance of varying postures and movements throughout the day. While many studies link prolonged sitting with cardiometabolic risks and recommend short walks or activity breaks to counteract sedentary behavior, standing may not always be the best alternative. 💡 A new study from the University of Sydney, published in the International Journal of Epidemiology, reveals that standing for extended periods doesn't necessarily lower cardiovascular disease risk and may even increase the likelihood of vascular issues. 🚀 The findings advocate for a balanced approach: alternating between sitting, standing, and moving to support overall cardiovascular health. 🔗 Learn more about the article : https://lnkd.in/gVHt4cB4 #CardiovascularHealth #MovementMatters #SedentaryLifestyle #HealthInnovation
