Here is an excerpt from a document I created for my community and aspiring short-form creators around the world: "A script is the most important aspect of any video. Whether it is faceless SFVs (short-form videos) or SFVs created for your personal brand. What is said (and therefore heard by the viewer), is the main variable in the creation of a SFV that determines how well you video will perform. Inside the script, you have other variables such as the hook, the content of the script (the main part, whether it be a story, facts, or information), a call-to-action, or other aspects of the script. Other variables that can change across videos while using OSSA.AI or creating SFVs include the subtitle font, the subtitle animation, the video style (type of images generated for the video), the caption, the background music/sound, etc. This may sound like a lot, and it kinda is, but I am going to break down the basics of copyrighting so that you can ensure that you have a proper understanding of how to craft the most influential variable in determining whether or not your video performs; the actual script." The world of video creation just got turned on its head... again... Remember when OpenAI's Sora blew our minds earlier this year? We went from choppy 4-second clips to jaw-dropping, minute-long HD masterpieces. Google's VEO followed suit, leaving us all wondering, "What's next?" And the only problem was? These models were not released to the public. Well, the wait is over. In just the past two weeks, three game-changing models have burst onto the scene: - Luma Dream Machine (available now) - Runway Gen-3 (available to some, and will roll out to everyone) - Kling (available if you understand the interface in Chinese) Some more details: - All 3 models could be potential competitors to Sora and Veo. - All 3 currently only create short videos, and not close to the 1 min of Sora. - All 3 shared a variety of examples in multiple types of videos that are consistent and impressive. - The resolution is much higher than we were used to before, but still not as impressive as Sora, other than maybe the new Runway model My thoughts: - By the end of this year we will have the capability to create videos which will be indistinguishable from real life. - We will have tools that will provide us a lot more control over the generated videos - We will have video editing tools that will understand natural language and will reduce the need to know how to use professional tools The outcome: Complete democratization of video creation. Anyone with creative ideas will be able to create any video they want from short ads to full-length Hollywood-style movies. On one hand, this is amazing, as we will see an explosion of creativity. On the other hand, what does this mean for screenwriters, cameramen and women, video editors, special effects people, sound experts, etc. Also, what does it mean to our ability to know what is true and what is not on any digital media? Custom AI tool development and studio collaborations with content scraping are old news. Starting with public domain content, what about education exceptions? Say you develop a tool for training purposes, are under the purely academc umbrella, then later after a few iterations that entity transitions to a commercial purpose? What about broadcast? I imagine just starting with 24 hour world wide news broadcasts would provide sufficient base input. Beyond that, if it came to it, a tech company could produce their own content with an ingest clause. Even if it’s just student film scholarships at first. The paths are many, the gates not secure. And what if they just ingest and analyze DVDs and Blurays? If they only study narrative framework, editing structure, thematic visual composition, how would anyone ever look at generative output and be able to trace it back definitively/legally to a single source? Style has always fed the feed, multiple content creators overlap in homage. Nuanced and inevitable, this may be more about leverage then prevention.

13 million characters. 8k+ creators. A few months ago, I worked with Rupak Shah on a very interesting project. For some of you who know, I often do voiceover projects. Rupak's company, AiVANTA, helps businesses create AI-generated content with ease. It includes video, text, and audio. Now, for an AI tool to create an audio, it needs a voice to clone.
