FMCG Talent Acquisition | Head of Drinks | Recruiting for Commercial Professionals within Drinks | WSET Level 2 Qualified
I’m back with another Big Drinks News roundup… And there are plenty of major stories in the sector at the moment! 🍺 Key findings in the latest beer & cider category report include the market’s rise in value versus the fall in volumes, the importance of in-store promotions as the impact of inflation continues to be felt, and the shift towards ‘premiumisation’ for many brands who are aiming to stand out on the shelf. ☕ Coffee production is under threat across the world, from major coffee-growing regions like Vietnam and Brazil to areas with small but fast-growing industries like Peru, due to severe weather and poor harvests. As a result, production estimates have dropped – and prices are expected to soar. ☀ In lighter news, punchy | B Corp have introduced their new lightly sparkling ‘everyday hydration’ range! Available in mango and blueberry varieties, these delicious canned drinks are caffeine free, boosted with electrolytes, minerals and vitamins, and designed to support your wellbeing. 🍾 Sparkling wine is doing fine, with a surge in sales across markets such as the UK, US and Germany helping to compensate for declining demand across other products in the category. We have always been fans of kettle-cooked chips or crisps, as some call it :). We even imported them 10 years ago from the UK as we could not find any in India back then. That is why we always wanted to create our own kettle-cooked, extra crispy, and thin chips made in India. We first tried it with potatoes but were not able to source the right potato variety. Coming from Kerala, we all love tapioca and banana chips, but the ones you usually get are quite hard and thick. So we started testing various methods of cutting and frying tapioca chips and finally, we managed to get it right with thin and extra crispy, kettle-cooked tapioca crisps. But that was not enough. We needed some great tasting, familiar but different flavors. We tasted 100+ flavors and picked only the best-tasting, strongest, and most irresistible ones. Some are traditional Kerala flavors (Spicy Kari) some popular international flavors (Smoky Barbecue, Extra Cheesy), and some with our special desi twist (Garlic Pickle, Desi Wasabi, or Tangy Tomato) We are in love with our tapioca crisps and can’t stop ourselves from munching on them! Have you tried them yet? Rahul Johar Madhukar Johar Ewa Pienkowska-Johar Anu Johar Oxbow Brands #madeinindia #productdevelopment #snacks #kerala #crisps #chips #brandstory #startupfounders

The cocoa market has had a bitter taste for sweet bakery manufacturers over the past year, with prices hitting record levels in April and still remaining alarmingly high due to supply issues. This should make chocoholics (like myself) very wary, as bakers are now struggling to create affordable sweet treats while maintaining profit margins. In my latest ingredients report for British Baker – supported by Puratos – I find out how history has been repeating, and hear from industry experts on whether cocoa prices will remain high for long, what bakers can do about it in the meantime for their toppings and fillings, and what alternative flavours to consider. #bakery #sweet #chocolate #ingredients #manufacturing #feature

🔥🔥 Do you know the differences between green and red chili? 🤔🌶 Chili offers a spicy taste that makes the dish more delicious. Even though we use chili in our daily meals, very few people distinguish the differences between green and red chili. Let's find out the difference between red and green chili with HAVIGO now! 🎯 Maturity: Red chili are picked when they are totally ripe. In contrast, people harvest green chili when they are not fully ripe. That's why they have a green color ✨ Flavor: Red chili offers a spicy flavor mixed with a little sweetness due to the increasing sugar content during ripening. However, green chili is not fully ripe, it has a spicy taste with a slightly bitter and strong taste 🔥 Scoville level: Vietnamese red chili is usually at a Scoville level up to 100,000 - 200,000 SHU. Meanwhile, green chili is only 600 - 800 SHU, much lower than the red one. Therefore, green chili is suitable for people who don't prefer eating spicy foods, but still want to add flavor to their dishes with chili ♨️ How to use: Red chili peppers are often used in dried or powdered form to add heat and color to dishes. On the other hand, people can add fresh green chili directly when cooking. It is commonly used in salads as a garnish If you want to import dried or fresh chili, then simply send an inquiry to HAVIGO now! ---------------------------------------- HAVIGO COMPANY LIMITED 📲 WhatsApp: +84 979 585 856/ +84 384 860 726 ☎ Hotline: 097 958 58 56 🌎 Website: https://havigo.vn 📍 27 Le Duc Tho, My Dinh, Hanoi, Vietnam #HAVIGO #havigo #vietnam #chili #pepper #chilipepper #redchili #freshchili #drychili #driedchili #spices #spicesandherbs #seasoning #seasonings #agriculture #agribusiness #import #export #importexport #exporter
