Food For The Poor is monitoring Hurricane Beryl and is in close communication with our team in Jamaica. We’re prepared to respond with emergency supplies that have been prepositioned in areas that could be cut off during the storm. Jamaica was under a state of emergency as the powerful Category 4 Beryl scraped by the island’s southern coast Wednesday afternoon as this graphic from NOAA shows, with howling winds reported by midday in the capital of Kingston. Please keep our brothers and sisters in the Caribbean in your prayers this hurricane season. Stay tuned for updates.
