The Food Reformulation Task Force has published two reports today: 1. Maximum per serving salt targets for pizza sold in the foodservice* sector. This report outlines maximum per serving salt targets and accompanying strategies to reduce the amount of salt used in adult and children’s pizzas sold within the Irish foodservice sector. 2. Maximum per serving salt targets for pizza sold in the foodservice sector: consultation outcome. The Food Reformulation Task Force issued draft maximum per serving salt targets for pizza sold in the Irish foodservice sector, and the rationale and metholodgy behind their development in July 2024. This report summarises the feedback received in response to this public consultation and outlines key considerations that informed the finalisation of these targets.
