Why is the work of a technical sales manager interesting? Because while in livestock and feed management the everyday problems typically arise from the most basic conditions, we occasionally encounter truly exciting cases. Recently, I encountered such a case when early udder tissue development was diagnosed in a young Holstein Friesian heifer. After excluding many other causes and conducting a detailed feed analysis, we diagnosed poisoning caused by toxins produced by microscopic fungi. Thus, my work involves participating in identifying the cause of problems and making recommendations for appropriate solutions. In this case, besides aflatoxin, we selected a toxin binder capable of binding other toxins that can cause significant damage, such as affecting reproductive processes and tissue developement.
