Fractional CFO and FP&A for PE/VC portfolio companies | Transforming financial chaos into strategic growth
"All of my portco financial operations seem disjointed and slow, can you help?" Sound familiar? I get this all the time. Management, founders, and CEOs, you won't get out of this stickiness unless you put in the time, money, and effort to remap processes and streamline everything. 👉 maybe you don't have the right accounting or finance people in the right seats 👉 maybe your people are brilliant but leadership has shot down any attempt to reinvest in new financial infrastructure 👉 You also need to make sure you have the right finance leader running this restructuring. Either way - remember that your portco's lack of reporting, solid data, slow cash conversion cycles, etc. won't change until you make the decision to invest in changing things. _____________________ Want to read more? In light of Kate Thomson's imminent appointment as permanent CFO of BP, it's really interesting to see the number of tax and treasury professionals securing the top finance job. I can think of 4 in the first month of 2024 alone. That being said, clients will rarely consider Heads of Tax or Treasury for external CFO searches, even if they are looking for someone stepping in to the role for the first time. How do we break that cycle? Would love to hear your thoughts.
