The use of digital health interventions has the potential to improve healthcare delivery and sustainability, bringing about many exciting advancements in the treatment and management of noncommunicable diseases (NCDs). To fully engage with this promising future, partnerships between governments and the private sector, academia, IT specialists, and other stakeholders are needed, along with the development of a regulatory framework for successful joint ventures. This includes scaling up the use of digital health interventions within health systems and exchanging experiences with other countries. At Sebenza Health we are engaging with these stakeholders to ensure we can reduce fatalities due to NCD through the use of technology and data driven insights. Allowing for actionable interventions off the back of these insights. https://lnkd.in/dE3GGjHA

2025 spells change. But especially in seas of uncertainty, we need to trust. And be better at building it. We all know that its a valuable commodity we need as fuel for any successful change, but often we get little chance of exploring where it comes from. But from the WHO Regional Office for Europe conference on Trust & Transformation in Tallinn in 2023 you can find a series of cool papers and points on trust - https://lnkd.in/dXcWQWnn And during the Healthcare Denmark conference Tour de Health 2024 with participants from 13 global missions, we discussed the key element of trust in collaboration and innovation partnerships. And how it is central to transformation that we harness it better. We also explored a method to do so with Danish Life Science Cluster - and found great champions explaining their insights too https://lnkd.in/dp27Mz_P But while trust is a big thing, it gets built in small actions. So in Brussels Jan 27 we are talking and taking small steps towards a big goal; how to create stronger structures for the trust we need - and the courage to use it too. And this is certainly a theme I expect to be talking about again and again in 2025 in many of the great networks I am fortunate to collaborate with. The answers we need for 2025 requires bridges, not walls. And while trust can sometimes fluctuate like a cybercurrency, it's a key to resilience and sustainability that we need to invest in. Look forward to see you all somewhere to talk about trust in seas of change. Want to join a journey towards trust? Check out this workshop event in Brussels January 27 - 14.00-17.00 Trust is essential for health. Trust in people, in professionals, in pharmaceuticals, in progress... so to no surprise, trust is core to strategies for innovation and future transformation of systems, solutions, and services. In the words of Hans Kluge and Natasha Azzopardi Muscat in their new WHO Regional Office for Europe publication about resilient, sustainable health: "Trust among patients, professionals, funders, and policymakers is paramount for successful transformation. However, trust has eroded, particularly in the wake of the pandemic, underscoring the need to prioritize rebuilding trust as a pre-requisite for successful health system transformation." https://lnkd.in/dz9p6mKS Based on our work at #TourdeHealth2024 we're happy to continue this vital (!) discussion in a constructive, informal setting. So join us in a workshop about putting trust central in and for partnerships for transformation. 🌍 Bored of borders? So are we. It's time to break down Europe's healthcare silos! 🗣️ 'It’ll never work in our healthcare system’ sneered the health minister. 'Our system is different and unique’. 🗣️ ‘Nor ours’, added their international counterpart. ‘Our people, system, and health issues are all entirely idiosyncratic’. ❓ But are they really? If the pandemic taught us anything, it's that health transcends borders. Every system faces its own challenges, but progress isn't made by looking inward alone. 🤝 What can we learn from our neighbors? What technologies, best practices, and collaborative approaches can we share to enhance our systems? And how do we shift from silos to symbiosis as the default setting? 💬 Join Enrico Jensch, Eyal Zimlichman, MD Zimlichman, Dr. Sophie Chung and Maris Dreimanis at HLTH Europe 2024, where, moderated by Johanna Benesty, they'll discuss how we can break free from borders and build a healthier, more connected Europe together. 🔥 Be a part of the change: https://lnkd.in/eAMA7B-t #hlth #hltheurope #healthcare #healthcarecomms #digitalhealth #healthtech

As we gear up for the PHSSR 3rd Summit during Abu Dhabi Global Healthcare Week on 14 May, I want to shed light on a well-crafted article by Prof. George Wharton from the LSE Department of Health Policy. In his insightful piece, Prof. Wharton discusses the transformative potential of digitalisation in combating non-communicable diseases (#NCDs). With the global rise in NCDs, health systems are under unprecedented strain. Thankfully, digital technology offers new avenues for early intervention and disease management. By leveraging data and innovative digital tools, we can manage and prevent many of these life-threatening conditions. The upcoming PHSSR summit, held in collaboration with the Department of Health Abu Dhabi, will explore these themes further. It’s an essential platform for all stakeholders looking to strengthen health systems through collaboration and innovation. AstraZeneca’s involvement at the summit will reflect our dedication to transforming healthcare systems, enhancing resilience, and promoting sustainability through strategic partnerships in the Middle East and Africa. Join us at PHSSR 3rd Summit as we explore how early action on NCDs and health digitisation can pave the way for more sustainable health solutions.
