Some insight from AI4ALLs CEO Emily Reid on the use of AI. This is truly resonating for me this week. I'm currently at eduWeb Summit and the use of AI tools in higher education digital marketing is the hot topic of the gathering. Anecdotally, there seems to be two camps: 1. "AI is scary and I'm super skeptical of its use" or 2. "We are already using AI in my workflow, and have tested the current technology until we've found what works for us." As someone who uses AI tools in my work day-to-day effectively myself, I have realized that a large part of it is thoughtfully setting it all up and testing what is actually helpful. That involves a whole bunch of piloting and understanding when it's actually going to be a boon to your work.
In light of recent developments with the LAUSD AI project, Emily Reid, CEO of AI4ALL, shared her insights with EdWeek Market Brief. She believes that as the AI industry continues to evolve, companies may encounter hurdles to becoming profitable, impacting both students and employees. Emily also emphasizes the need for cautious optimism while navigating the world of AI.

MAN AND MACHINE, NOT MAN OR "AI will never replace a great teacher, but it can help cut down the time they spend doing admin so they can spend more time in the classroom" Jason Clare MP And that is precisely the way we should think about the application of AI and technology more broadly. Not as a tool to replace a person, but as one to AUGMENT them, to help them deliver a better quality outcome. Every tool we've ever made has needed a human to leverage its output. AI is no different. #MrSaaSSays - I wonder when computers will do everything for us. https://lnkd.in/dvDxstst
