The government passed a decision to create a defence industry fund at a cabinet meeting on Thursday, with the aim of strengthening the development of the defence industry, thereby improving Estonia's security and defence capabilities and boosting the economy. This is the first major step to improve access to finance for local defence industries. This measure will certainly help companies to raise capital both for the development of their own products and for the launching of production, as well as to increase the competitiveness of the defence sector as a whole.
